How much of this wiki is actually based on fact?

Ok, that's a stretch. how much here is actually done by people who know everything about whatever the concerned article's character has to offer? For example, have you looked into a secret boss and changed your thoughts based on an ending cutscene and an achievement name? Do you actually believe the backstory for a minor character that you just wrote? How much is speculation and how much is backed by facts? If somebody comes here to learn about lore and backstory, can they actually trust what's written here?

Also I feel much of what's written in these articles are biased. Many game "villains" aren't villains, they're just bosses.

This post isn't intended to insult or offend, merely to request for accuracies and actual study as to be plausible with what is known. There is nothing wrong when fanfic like this is written but keeping it connected to what we have would be nicer. Thanks

Everything here is based on fact, although you are allowed to write about theories and similar things in the Trivia section.

As MenInBlack wrote, the wiki is supposed to be entirely factual. If you find characters you doubt to be villains, you can address it in the discussions or add a deletion template with your reasons to the page. In a wiki this big, some non-villains might slip through unchecked.

Fanfiction is not allowed on the wiki, unless it is from a very popular medium.

like any wiki or website you get trolls, misinformation, overly zealous fanboys/girls and other troublesome users who cause large amounts of misinformation, bias and so on but the wiki itself is set to be based on facts and canonity.

several admins and users are working hard to keep facts and canon a priority but number 1 rule of ALL internet is check every source - never use this wiki alone as a "fact" nor bash it as "fake".. even wikipedia itself is infamous for having a lot of misinfo etc.. that's what happens with many users able to contribute whatever they want.. most do so well, others do not.

this is one of the largest wikis ever and is growing continually, due to the subject matter this wiki has potentially *unlimited* growth potential - anything that grows that massive gets harder and harder to monitor.. hence why it continually changes and also why many false info and fanon slips by the radar.

thankfully tech is improving and as the wiki grows we'll likely get more tools to aid in removing these sorts of things (more admins, more volunteers and more bots).

also just like "heroes" what does and does not make a "villain" is one of the most debated and controversial topics in all of human history - thus no one will ever agree on anything on this wiki, save for the most extreme examples.

because the wiki deals with evil and morally dubious characters it constantly faces the ire of the multi-ethical real world, where no two people have the same belief of what is and is not "evil" or "wrong" (again, save for some extreme examples).

"one man's hero is another man's villain" ~ Dukat from Star Trek.. while Dukat is an EXTREME example of evil his quote is factual.. no matter how vile a character may be someone will defend them.. his quote also means no matter how much you may see a character as a hero or neutral someone will see them as a villain.. we've tried to limit this infinite loop by having one Golden Rule:

to qualify a character must of committed at least one real crime that is of a selfish nature or of such a severe nature it endangers a significant part of their story (for example a thief will qualify if they do so out of greed, not out of necessity or out of a greater good (Robin Hood).)
