<p>to be clear: fan-fic is any property that heavily utilizes characters or concepts that could not legally be sold / profitted from by the creator.. stuff that is so close to the original that it can not pass parody laws (or *very* barely passes it).</p><p>
</p><p>the only way this can be countered is if it is on Know Your Memes or Wikipedia, the reason is these two sites are the only real means we can gauge something is actually "viral" on internet.. anyone can make large youtube channels or videos but few outside the fanbase will know about it.</p><p>
</p><p>For fan-fic, no matter how large, that is not wikipedia / KYM credited use Villains Fanon Wiki.</p><p>
</p><p>there's literally near-infinite media already existing for us to add to the wiki, we don't need all the fan-made / fan-theory / self-promotional stuff in addition - that's why we made other wikis to deal with such content.</p>

<p>The six-per-month rule seems like a terrible concept; it will be about who edits at midnight UTC time, regardless of quality. We could have the first six be terrible and not be able to do anything about it.</p>
