I have seen some scenes of old or new movies where children died onscreen but it always was by accident of a random or even good character or by a somehow tragic villain. And I was surprised to never or rarely seen Pure Evil villains to kill a child onscreen (IT from 2017 kinda, Art the Clown and Cloyte) because it would be fit to them more than any other character. Child murder is often a tabu subject in movies or games but sometimes it is somehow allowed and I don't know why, and when it is done, it is like I said never to rarely by a Pure Evil villain. So did you know some?
You little fool. The orphanage incident is a sob story. Sob stories are stories that may or may not be true that criminals tell people get them to feel sympathy for them. And they often use them to blame their crimes on other people. But even if those stories are true or not, it matters little because the crook is refusing to take responsibility for their actions, because their blaming it on someone else.
Sob stories also typically involve subjects that people are sensitive to, but weather or not that part is true doesn't really matter, because the crook is only interested in making you feel sad, so that you'll let your guard down.
Finally, they often try to make themselves appear as misunderstood, so that once again, you'll feel sorry for them, and think that they are more the victim than the villain. And often, they could apply to anything.
By putting their crimes onto other people, bringing up subjects they know are likely to get an emotional reaction, trying to make themselves look like the victim rather than the villain, and judging your body language to see how you respond, criminals and mass murderers, manipulate cops, judges, jurors, parole officers, criminal phsycitrists, and even the public into feeling sorry for them, and letting them go. But even if the stories they tell are true, they don't really matter. Because most crooks who tell those stories resume the very crimes they say they are not responsible for. Meaning that they didn't really care how you felt about them, and they are not really under a psychological influence.
these stories have become such an issue in the world of criminology that they've now become subjects taught in criminology courses in college, and people who desire to become judges, cops, lawyers, and even jury tests now also test a canidate's character using recorded sob stories that crooks told to see how they respond. It's a test of character to see if you can keep your cool while hearing of stories of the most dreadful things
Even other franchise's have used sob stories. A famous example is the stories Joker tells Dr. Quinzel of his childhood, so that she'll feel sorry for him and decide to help him out and become Harley Quinn. But in the episode where we learn her origin, Batman tells her that Joker doesn't really love her or care how she feels about him. He just told those stories to get her to sympathize with him. Here's the clips
Chill dude! I just meant I can understand why she killed the boys who killed her puppy. That was well deserved. I agree with you that she becomes a monster and nothing excuses her evil actions.
But thanks for the explaination and videos.
Nothing involving children being murdered is deserved. Don't fall prey to sob stories. You may one day release a real criminal.
"Sob stories"? If you mean that it wasn't really happend by that, than it isn't true.
Sob stories can be true or not. But the crook telling them doesn't care. The only thing that matters to them is to manipulate you into feeling sorry for them, and want to let them go.
Yeah but Lucy's tragic past has happend, Joker's not that was a lie.
For the 4th time, mass murderers don't care if the sob stories they tell are true or not. All that matters to them when they tell sob stories is to manipulate whoever their telling into sympathizing with them, and let them off scott free. Crooks who are released, who's sob stories were indeed true, almost immediately returned to their illegal activities. And the same thing applies to Lucy. Tragedy or not, she made her choice. And instead of choosing to be the better person, she chose to become the worse person. Even if Joker's stories were true, it wouldn't change who he is.
And it wasn't just the bullies. What about Kouta's sister, and those countless others she's slaughtered? She's not a misunderstood outcast. She's a heartless, self-righteous monster who loves nothing and no one save herself.
I don't say that Kouta's sister etc was understandible, just the bullies she killed.
Regardless, nothing justified either. Once you harm a child, there's no turning back. No exceptions.
What do you think?
