<p>So...I've been spending a lot of time watching the HBO series Game of Thrones lately, and I'm honestly wondering why Walder Frey isn't in the PE category.</p><p>
</p><p>So to start with, Walder is the head of House Frey. While he initially appeared to be a harmless old man who was...a bit weird and creepy at the most, we see just how evil he is in season 3 when he orchestrates the Red Wedding (one of the most brutal massacres in the series) along with Tywin Lannister and Roose Bolton and sadistically watches as tons of people are being slaughtered. When Catelyn threatens to kill his wife, Walder simply says "I'll find another wife" and casually watches as Catelyn and Robb are killed. He feels absolutely zero remorse over the massacre and even gloats about his victory to Jaime in season 6. While GoT has high heinous standards (after all, this is Game of Thrones we're talking about), Walder doesn't get a lot of screentime compared to the other PE villains, so I'd say he does enough given his time frame.</p><p>
</p><p>Now, the reason Walder isn't in the category is because he supposedly cares about his family. The thing is, if he *really* cared about them, he wouldn't have callously allowed his wife to die. To add to that, he doesn't show any affection towards them, and his so-called "care" for them is pragmatic at the most.</p><p>
</p><p>Besides that, Walder doesn't feel any remorse for anything he does, he is completely unsympathetic (he even manages to be one of the most hated characters in the entire GoT universe), etc. So by the end of the day, there's nothing genuinely mitigating about him.</p><p>

<p>Eh....reacting to a cannibalistic action does not equate to having remorse for ones actions. </p>
<p>@Austin That's what I meant. Walder was merely grossed out about unintentionally eating someone, which isn't mitigating. I mean, he was completely fine with having a pregnant woman stabbed in the guts, so his reaction to eating his own sons is simply a natural reaction anyone would have.</p>

<p>Not PE? It seemed like jester was the only one who really had any objections. I'll leave this one open for a few more days because I don't personally agree with the reasons against.</p>
