I don’t know why Ernesto isn’t higher on the list. He’s the darkest one mainly because he’s an average guy. Sure Syndrome killed a lot of people but they were superheroes and he was a supervillain. You would never be able to find him out in the streets. Then there’s hopper, who’s dark because he’s a dictator. That’s kinda dark but he’s a bug dictator. Sure there are some people like him out there but that doesn’t necessarily make him any darker. Lotso was an abandoned bear that created a sort of wonderland that was secretly torture for the toys. That’s a little scary in its own right but it’s nothing compared to Ernesto. You see, Ernesto is dark because what he does is totally in the realm of possibility. Ernesto is a human who was loved by everyone, but only because he killed his partner, took his songs, and let his family hate him for generations. Can you imagine that? You simply want to see your family but your partner, who’s high on money and fame, tricks you and poisons you. Oh and they never let your family know about what you did, so they just hate you instead of him. Ernesto shows us that while we can have close friends, as soon as something can corrupt that, they can just kill you and you wouldn’t have been the wiser. They get famous and your family will forever hate and forget you. That’s why he’s the darkest
