The fact that many of these are anime characters make me feel that many detestable anime villains get this treatment if their design is attractive and not because their sympathetic.

Overhaul imo, mainly because it is kind of understandable why the other characters would get that treatment, due to complexity or certain redeeming or sympathetic qualities making them much more likeable..... but fucking Overhaul-

Don't tell me people here have a hateboner (not in that way) towards him just like a certain other villain.

Let people hate who they want Jar. Who cares if they have a hateboner lol, it’s not killing anyone.

With Light, the creators said themselves that they weren't focused on right and wrong for most of the story, and just wanted the reader to enjoy the battle between Light and L. Then toward the end, they started to get disturbed by how many were rooting for Light, so they suddenly made him way more gratuitously evil and made his defeat as humiliating as possible in an attempt to address that. The problem is it makes the story fairly unpleasant to watch toward the end.

Well the anime creators gave Light a more dignified end.

The anime kind of took advantage of how some fans were rooting for Light in spite of his crimes becoming increasingly worse from what I understand. That’s why they attempted to play towards his sympathizers just a little bit.

Anime reinforced that the Death Note ruined Light’s life and he would have been a happy kid without it. I believed he realized that in his final moments. What a tragic end.

Well the new Berserk chapter released and all I have to say is dammit Griffith.

I mean like people just always seem to bring it up.
