Funny, it doesn't feel like a curse, it feels like a promise. So this is my vow. All gods will die.

—Gorr the God Butcher—
After I watched the film, he quickly became one of my favorite villains in the MCU.
I love the characters personality, motives, design and creepines behind the villain
Incredibly wasted potential
What?
Goddamn it, I was really hoping people would understand. They didn't have the balls to make him kill the religious figures in Abrahamic mythology, right? I never watched any Marvel movie about this guy so I am asking if he's such a Godslayer, does he kill any "real" gods? Or did Hollywood drop their balls again?
I get where you're coming from, but don't kid yourself, Damon, people would go mad if Gorr destroyed those deities. Frankly, am not even sure if Abrahamic, or any other religion's for that matter, gods exist in Marvel. I know Thor is a Norse god, though
I thought so.
Norse gods do exist in Marvel and I really wanted this post to be about Christian Bale’s performance as Gorr in the movie and not bring Abrahamic religion into the conversation so can we please (PLEASE) stay on topic?
Sure.
Anyway, I thought Gorr was tragic, sympathetic and his motivations made sense and he definitely was one of the best antagonists in the MCU
Same
What do you think?
