I love this show, but one thing that always left a bad taste in my mouth is that despite Garrett and Ward both getting satisfying deaths, Whitehall's is very anticlimactic. Cal should've been the one to kill him in my opinion.

I mean, I understand why the writers killed him off the way they did (to start the rivalry between Coulson and Cal), but it's still disappointing how Jiaying and Kara who are ultimately Whitehall's victims suffer way more than he ever did.

He was shot in the back then buried underneath a structure that collapsed on top of him. That was not a painless death. I doubt it was quick. I think he dies slowly. (More like I hope he died slowly).

Nah, he fell to the floor and succumbed to the bullets in like two seconds. He died almost instantly.

Oh then I remembered wrong. It’s been too long since I’ve seen it.

Honestly I was sad when Whitehall died…

…because he deserved much worse.

I honestly feel really sorry for Jiaying and Kara every time I rewatch the Season 2 finale. Whitehall's experiments ripped out the good hearts they once had, turning them into deranged bloodthirsty monsters with nothing left in their lives but a lust for vengeance. Ward and Cal cradling and crying over both their corpses after killing them is just the cherry on top.

Not even gonna lie, I wanted Calvin to get the kill because of what Whitehall did to his family. I was both glad for his death and at the same he deserved worse after all the horrific acts he has done. Whitehall is easily my most hated MCU villain after Season 2 ended. Plus he was much different than his comic counterpart from what I can gather and look at his page.
