What villains do you like or interested but felt they were wasted in the series they were in.

Mine would be Unalaq from the Legend of Korra. Controversially wise, I do enjoy his character and his motives but I felt they were trying to make another Ozai character and isn’t as interesting compared to the other villains. Unalaq at first is interesting but then later on he becomes typically evil and gets worse especially that he is the reason why his brother is in exile but you don’t understand why he did that other than the typical “he wants power.”

Every time I see his character I can see a lot potential on him and the themes that he represents. I like the idea of the dark avatar and it’s design. But it falls apart due to how typically evil he slowly becomes to the point he does not seem to care about his children or at least to convince his niece about what avatar Wong did and why he disagree with Wong’s decisions of separating the spirits. I also did not like the idea of him being part of the Red Lotus, I felt it was stupid and unnecessary. Like your going to tell me that Unalaq is not just spiritual but also anarchist? I don’t think so.
