I’m going to say Light Yamagi but from the anime point of view

Light's death in the anime was sad for me lol. Manga death was catahric.

I think it’s because people felt bad for Light so they change his ending. In the manga however, Light dies as a pathetic man that was filled with false delusions and grandiose sense of narcissism.

I can understand why some prefer the manga ending but I wouldn’t say that it’s controversial to say that.
