Base breaking character is someone half the fanbase hates while the other half doesn’t.

I chose Billy because whether he was sympathetic or if he was a racist or not has been hotly discussed here.

Patrick Bateman. Honestly hate him.

I say Endeavor because despite seeking redemption and trying to create a better and healthy relationship with his family, there are people in the fanbase that hate him immensely and felt that he should've stayed as a villain. In a matter of fact, some felt that he should have become the main villain of the arcs that he was in.

Those people ignore character development honestly.

I think it's because they believe what he did was irredeemable

@Little Jiba3 Yeah, they saw his actions irredeemable but I felt they wanted him to be more like Fath...I mean Fire Lord Ozai from Avatar: The Last Airbender. But they forget that Endeavor feeling regret for his past actions and trying to him makeup to his family makes his character interesting instead of making him evil. Him staying as a villain would not provide much for his character other than being an asshole.

Both Endeavor and Bakugo will be controversial until the series' ends.

@X9 The Android Billy was originally created as just a bad guy but Dacre protested nobody is "just bad" and urged the Duffers to add his abusive dad. That's what made him more complex.

I meant that those two things were extensively discussed in other threads: if Billy was tragic or not because he tried to sleep with Mike's mom and if he was racist due to his harsh attitude towards Lucas.
