Yeah no, though I like Bowser, his wedding getting ruined was completely deserved to his attempt to sacrifice a bunch of innocent people (also Luigi which earlier in film, he mentions doing it to spite Mario) and for being a total simp for Peach.
Bowser only did that stuff out of a misguided belief that it would make Princess Peach fall in love with him.
This is a tricky one, if we go by the movie only? no, Bowser is 100 percent in the wrong and Peach hasn't done much to enable that behavior.
Now if we go by the games? things change considerably and honestly at times we all feel kind of bad for Bowser *and* Mario, Peach has a bad habit of egging both of them on and it's one of her least pleasant traits really.. she enjoys making them fight over her but denies both of them any true reward, even Mario, the hero of the story, doesn't really get much from Peach when you take in everything.
Matron Misery. Well technically this poll is referring to the film version, but I completely agree with you about what happened in Odyssey, Peach was cruel to just reject both Mario and Bower and nearly leave them on the moon, I mean after everything Mario does for her (like literally going to the Freaking moon to save her), she's doesn't repay him for his heroism (the fact she even considered going for Bowser makes her a hypocrite since she clearly didn't want him to marry him earlier in the game). Either way Luigi has a better girl.
@MarkyBoy51 Peach rejecting them was justified because they were over whelming her and she wasn’t going to abandon them.
no lol
In the movie? No. His “love” for Peach is creepy, possessive, and extremely selfish in nature. Plus, y’know, he tried to dunk dozens of innocent people into lava as part of the ceremony.
In the games, specifically Odyssey? Yeah, a little bit. The OG Bowser is significantly less evil and his love for Peach is… well it’s still creepy and selfish, but he does have genuine feelings for her and the entire plot of Odyssey is caused by his extremely misguided attempts to win her over. It’s worth noting that in Odyssey, instead of going berserk and trying to burn everyone alive when Peach rejects him, he just sits down and quietly cries, even allowing an equally-sad Mario to pat him on the back. It’s a little funny, a little heartwarming, and a little sad,

My honest reaction:
He wasn’t really worthy of sympathy although I almost did when he said, “Now you will suffer like me!”
What do you think?
