William Carpenter (the guy who abandoned Sam and Tara) would be a better killer, but your idea is interesting too.
They’ve been setting up Christiania for both movies, having the dad, who hasn’t even referenced, become the killer would make zero sense.
Or what about Stu Macher and Ethan Landry resurfacing? Maybe they could reveal themselves that the TVs didn't kill them and Stu manipulated Ethan by saying that his parents never considered them his favorite either and Ethan sees Stu as the brother he never had. That feels like a justified storytelling to bring Stu back like most fans ask. That or they could go for Kevin Williamson's story idea of a twin brother.
Twin brother would be better
Way better. Bringing Stu back after everything, including Kevin admitting that Stu is dead, would be dumb and just make the fans who pressured him into just the kind of people that Richie represents. The twin (for the sake of this topic, let's call him Simon Macher) thing would work better.
I also have several more ideas to bring back Stu without doing anything stupid:
Richard Masset was just a normal guy who was bullied to no end after the Woodsboro massacre because he was unfortunate enough to look exactly like Stu despite not being his relative. Now, years of bullying made him snap and thinking he really is Stu. That can explain how someone who looks and behaves like Stu can be smart. In Richard's words, "you wanted Stu? I'll give you Stu! I'll be the best at being the worst, and it's you to thank for".
The guy who died in the canon wasn't the real Stu. The real Stu was their parents' favorite, so the fake one decided to dress up and talk exactly like Stu in order to get more love due to looking like his parent's favorite. That could also explain the part with being afraid that his parents will be mad at him. Not just for being caught as a serial killer. Also for fooling them. In that scenario, the fake Stu will be killed, and the real one may come back without insulting anyone's intelligence.
On a side note, the possibility that Ethan will somehow survive isn't likely, but it could be fun and more sensible than the survival of most of the other killers. Not for the Core Four, of course. I meant for the audience and the plot.
Why Simon Macher?
No who would Roachie was a physco 🤣
Roachie lol
@X9 The Android It feels right. Plus, Simon could do laughably evil stuff like saying "Simon says... Drop dead!" whenever he kills someone. I could use it in my own fanfics. A killer named Simon, not Stu's twin.
@Marxy005 Good one :-).
Hahaha, guess you have a point.
What do you think?
