Terrifying. No superpowers, magic or turning into animals and yet somehow he's still one of the most intimidating Disney villains. Crazy preachers are always chilling.

Great villain the scariest thing about him is that people like him exist and other scary things are the excellent voice work by Tony Jay and his actions and lust feelings about emeralsda he just a man who thought he was doing the right thing but after his brillant song hellfire he became worse not even saying quaismondo name calling him Huncback and giving in to his lust

Definitely one of the most chilling takes on a religious zealot in an animated family film. Hellfire is one of my favorite Disney villain songs.

He represents my complications with religion and the type of people that I don’t like.

I haven't seen the movie, but from what I did see, I think it was quite ironic when he fell into lava after saying something about a fiery demise.
