Most of us are aware of the abuse conviction of Jonathan Majors, the actor of Kang the Conqueror. For which he was fired from the MCU and conflicts ensued in the production of Avengers: Kang Dynasty. It was going to be renamed Avengers 5. There were several other debates. Should Kang be recast ? Should Dr. Doom be the next villain ? Should it be Beyonder ? or Kingpin ? So it turned out that Dr. Doom will be the villain and will be played by the Godfather of MCU, Robert Downy Junior.

Even though the real life reason for abandoning the Kang storyline is understandable, I hope the movie gives an in-universe explanation. Chadwick Boseman passed away due to cancer but there is an in-universe theory to explain T’Challa’s death - Those who drink the heart shaped herb once need to consume it periodically or else they develop a sickness and die. In Wakanda Forever, Shuri tried to make an artificial herb to save T’Challa and in the ancestral plane scene she accuses Killmonger to be the reason for his death since he burned the herbs.

So yeah I hope the filmmakers come up with an in-universe explanation as to why Kang won’t be the main villain after all that build-up. What do you guys think ?
