I find him a bit boring and not to be much of a threat because he hardly does anything throughout the film. His plans fail pretty shortly after they've been accomplished as well.

You know @Mrs. Super Nova if that's your opinion, i won't force you to change it if he's a bit boring. To me as a majority to his character, the Horned King has become one of the darkest scarier and menacing villain in the film except for his right-hand Creeper who acts incompetent, silly, weird and uninteresting to the point that the Horned King at least isn't that bland looking.

I do like his design and I think John Hurt did a good job. I just find his character overall boring.
