I heard Hades is just a dude who wanted a party that got banished by zeus (zeus in the myths is not a nice guy at all btw) iirc in the original greek/roman myths iirc.
Neither Hades nor Hela were actively villainous. Hades was a fair ruler and barely interfered with mortals in the living world. Hela was similar to Hades but she preferred to be left alone. Set is the closest. Set was a power-hungry god who wanted to usurp his brother and nephew for control over Egypt and was punished for it. Satan tried to usurp heaven from God and was punished for it by being placed in Hell.
Hades is just depressed because everyone in those days feared death. Therefore no one worshipped him. He was shunned, avoided, feared. He drew the short straw. After Zeus killed Chronos and subdued Typhon, the three eldest gods drew lots to see who got what. Even though Zeus technically earned his place as King of the Gods, because all the other gods turned tail and ran from Typhon while Zeus stood his ground. Hades still got stuck with the Underworld.
Hela. Not evil at all. Not like her Marvel counterpart who is pure evil and thrives on death, destruction and chaos. And will go out of her way to cause as much of it as possible.
Set. Best comparison to Lucifer. Set wanted to take control of Egypt. And his first step was to get his brother, Osiris out of the way. So on Osiris's birthday, Set presented him with a gold sarcophagus. And under the false pretense of wanting to see if it was a perfect fit, duped Osiris into entering the sarcophagus, then trapped him inside, and destroyed it - and Osiris along with it. Devastated by the loss, Isis scoured the earth, looking for the pieces of her husband, but when he was brought back, he could no longer rule the mortal world. And thus had to become ruler of the Underworld.
Hades, out of the options provided.
Not even close. Hades isn't evil. Set is.
Hades rules the underworld, the greek version of hell. While Set is evil, that is one of the only similarities he has to Lucifer/Satan.
Also, "Not even close" is an incredibly cocky statement considering that Hades and the Devil do have a lot of attributes in common.
I suggest doing further research. Of course Hades would be compared to the Devil. Because it's a common misconception of his nature. The Underworld isn't exactly Hell. There's many places in the Underworld. Elysium, for the heroes and those who lived righteously. Asphodel is were people who weren't really good or evil. Then there's Tartarus - which is essentially Hell. There's also the Field of Punishment, where people who committed wrongful acts would be punished depending on the severity of their transgression(s).
Hades is the god of death, he's nothing like Satan, an evil demon king.
