Probably because being aware of their crimes is the default for a villain. The wiki also has a "protagonists" category but not an "antagonists" category, because the villain being an antagonist is the default.

By "default" I meant that it is very common, not that it happens literally all the time.

In morality, delusion can specifically refer to the villain of course being aware the actions they commit are wrong, but believe they are never wrong for it.
