I made this awesome post for him with some of his different characters, even half of his characters aren't villains, due to some being heroic or neutral, it's still something i gathered them to join.

Both are great and over-hated villains but I think Chameleon is better overall.
I am highly annoyed by Chameleon's backstory being reduced to "Oh, she was too smol to do kung fu when Mantis exists" !!
A well known DreamWorks animator explained how her backstory fits with the canon.
I think Kai's backstory has more depth and sounds excellent on paper but poorly executed. Kai is overrated a lot just because of his larger than life action spectacle and theme score in my opinion.
The main reason why I think Chameleon is more well-written is because she is a better thematic foil to Po. They were both prejudiced for their appearances but Po had the support of a spiritual leader like Oogway. They both align with theme of change as Chameleon relied on external transformations to manipulate and assert control while Po and Zhen embraced internal growth. Po and Chameleon are polar opposites as mentors. On the other hand, Kai's arc of revenge and legacy felt disjointed from Po's arc of recognizing individuality and identity. Not to mention no one remembering him is treated like a joke and not really makes me connect with Oogway betraying him. Yes, there are some connections like Po gives chi and Kai takes chi but there isn't really much thematic contrasts between them. Maybe Kai would have been a stronger thematic foil if he had some of his own students and imposed his rigid teachings on them, trying to suppress their own creativity and styles.
I am not gonna into much depth because I know this post would either be ignored or bombarded with disagreements but I am gonna remain firm in my opinion.

Do you think Tai Lung should've been utilized more in Kung Fu Panda 3 and Kung Fu Panda 4? Despite being one of the many jade chi amulets in Kai's possession, Kai never used him at any point in Kung Fu Panda 3 and despite making a full official reappearance in Kung Fu Panda 4, where it seemed like he would play a major role in the film, he was merely an advertised extra. He should've been given a proper redemption story arc in Kung Fu Panda 4.

Having seen the film, coupled with its depiction in the previous one, can we say the Spirit Realm is a nice-looking afterlife? I mean, it seems like good and bad kung fu masters go there regardless of their allegiances in life and show no signs of suffering there...
Does this mean that Tai Lung, Lord Shen, Kai the Collector and The Chameleon should be removed from the Damned Souls category? In the fact, all minus the latter were wishing at the end of the film to go back instead of being alive again. Their case can be similar to Ernesto de la Cruz's and Erik Killmonger's...

Hi everyone! I just got the news from Jack Black's TikTok account that The Chameleon, the upcoming villainess of Kung Fu Panda 4, will be voiced by our dear Viola Davis, none other to us than the DC Extended Universe's Amanda Waller and Dr. Gaul in The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes! What do you think? Her past villainous roles easily convince me that she can pull an antagonist perfectly, though this one would be her first animated one.
By the way, according to official DreamWorks given synopsis, the Chameleon is a tiny lizard sorceress who can shapeshift into every creature and wishes to steal the Staff of Wisdow from Po so she can summon Tai Lung, Lord Shen and Kai the Collector back from the Spirit World to the realm of the living, leading Po to train a crafty vixen named Zhen so she can become the next Dragon Warrior as they try to save the Valley of Peace from this new threat.
