Micah is a near-impossible character to like, and labelling him as 'good' is a stretch, but his acceptance into the Van Der Linde Gang meant he was a brother in all but blood to Arthur, the 'hero' of the story. As reluctant as it may be for both Arthur and indeed the player, Micah is on our side, right up the moment where he isn't. The themes of 2018's Red Dead Redemption II explore the intricacies of what it means to be a hero or villain, but when we're introduced to Micah he truly never gives off any vibe other than the latter. Deceiving the gang by working with the Pinkerton Detective Agency, betraying those who took him in is the surely the lowest an outlaw can get, and Micah stoops to such a level with little remorse. The cowardly nature of Micah's betrayal is a surprise, as he always gave off far more obvious and aggressive vibes than his true, slimy self. What isn't surprising, however, is that he would reach the game's conclusion as an enemy to the gang. Micah's deception was significant, but he never tried to deceive the gang into believing that he was a good person. Maybe because none of them truly are.

Notice something that maybe very few noticed (at least I think so because I never heard someone mention it) but Vladimir.R.Makarov from Call of Duty and Micah Bell III from Red Dead Redemption share many similarities with each other:
- both (despite not being from the same universes) were born and died around 110 years (1860-1970 and 1907-2017)
-they both have the initial M in a part of their full name (Micah in the name and Vladimir in the last name)
-both brought someone to the brink of madness and making someone ruthless and selfish by making him an antagonist of a previous game (Vladimir driving Shepherd crazy by killing 30 thousand marines and Micah making Dutch go mad by turning him as we saw in Rdr 1 , on top of which both have mustaches and a revolver as their own weapon)
-the two were only faithful to their motivations and willing to kill anyone who crossed their paths
-they both died when they were around 46-47 years old
- the two killed both directly and indirectly a protagonist (Vladimir killing Yuri by shooting and causing the death of Soap and Micah leaving Arthur on the brink of death and indirectly causing the death of John Marston)
-both were the main causes of his entire trilogy (Vladimir from the Modern Warfare saga and Micah from the red dead redemption saga)
-Both make their debut in a video game sequel (Vladimir in Call of Duty 2 and Micah in Red Dead Redemption 2)
-the two saved the life of their "mentor", gaining his trust (Micah from Dutch in some outlaws and Vladimir to Imran Zakhaev, both doing a business that had to do with gold, but both saw them as a simple tool like the rest to ascend never really caring
- both in some cases present a certain inhumanity (Micah was seen sleeping very few times, never eating and despite being many years old he moved very fast, Vladimir wearing except for the same clothes for 20 years and holding a heavy machine gun with one hand, and both having a high tolerance for pain)
-both are more short weapons than long weapons, seeing themselves with long weapons only on a mission (Micah in "who the hell is Levicitus Cornwall?" And Vladimir in "No Russian")
-they were both xenophobic (they hated anyone who came from other countries)
-the two had a certain facial similarity
-both had a hatred towards women (Vladimir having been involved in the Prostitution business transferring women from Eastern Europe to Western Europe and Micah hating women and chatting with the women of the gang in an evil way)
-The two were responsible for a great Massacre (Vladimir from the Zakhaev Airport Massacre and Micah from the Blackwater Massacre, influencing it, participating in it and both having serious consequences)
-both were the last to die in a game, making them the last enemy (Call of Duty 3 and Red dead redemption 2)
-both were betrayed by a friend having good reasons to betray them (Vladimir being betrayed by Yuri alerting the authorities of the airport massacre and Micah by Cleet preventing him from murdering a girl)
-the two were shot by an ex-friend, something that led to their death (Vladimir receiving a shot from Yuri in the shoulder and Micah receiving a shot from Dutch in the abdomen, and both with the U as second word in his name)
-the two despite dying, managed to win in a certain way (Vladimir caused the Third World War, destroyed a large part of his enemies, avenged his mentor and despite not killing Price, he took away all his loved ones, and Micah managed to destroy Dutch's gang, he caused a lot of death and chaos, he made Dutch, Bill and Javier fall into madness, he caused Arthur's death and even though Marston killed him, that would cause his death a few years later)
-and here the one that most coincide: both indirectly caused and died at the hands of someone named John (Vladimir causing the death of John ”Soap” and dying at the hands of John Price, while Micah dies at the hands of John Marston but at the time causing his death years later)
