It was a bright, white and snowy night.
The lampposts had strings of lights connecting each pole to the next as they stood before the sidewalk. And on that sidewalk was a senior high school student with green hair. "Yes mom, I've watered the petunias you gave me for my birthday. Don't worry! Just because you're gone this Christmas doesn't mean I can't take care of myself. Love you too. Bye!”
She hung up and continued walking until she arrived at her apartment, she found a note from one of her roomates:
GONE TO SPEND CHRISTMAS WITH MY FAMILY. C U @ BXING DAY.
Wallflower sat in a chair making presents to deliver to her parents. Despite being surrounded by holiday cheer, she felt a little uneasy as she thought about what had happened a few days ago…
As she was writing in her secret diary in her garden, a black robed figure tried to recruit her into an evil villain group. However, she bluntly rejected it, saying that she didn’t want to be part of this villain team. The figure, disappointed, left with his head down before Wallflower could ask who he was. She hadn't seen him since.
As she finished the last present, a letter appeared through the mail slot and fell on the mat. She turned around, picked it up and read:
Dear Wallflower
Since this is the famous time of giving, I decided to give you another chance to join my organization. Come to the address below and meet the other members. They'll be glad to see you.
On Christmas Eve, Wallflower came to the address on the end of the letter and skeptically knocked on the door. It slowly creaked open, revealing a long black hallway with stars at the end. She slowly walked down the hallway, noticing the lack of doors. She kept walking until something brushed against her legs. She looked down…and jumped back.
A disembodied covered in green blood was clutching on her ankle. She screamed, shaking it off, sending it crawling away.
"Hey come back!" She ran up the steps and when she got to the top-she stopped dead in her tracks
It was a Rectangular shaped room. It had dark black walls of metal and were completely blank. There was a door with a cat flap at the other end of the room, behind a curved table in the middle of the room. The room was odd, but not nearly as odd as the inhabitants of the table. On the right end of the table was a muscular man with a green parka, with white hair and a beard and a woman in her early 30s with strawberry blonde hair in what looked like a prison uniform. On the left side was-
"Twilight?!" Wallflower's mouth opened agape.
"It's Midnight actually," said a smooth and sensual voice. Sitting next to her was a smoke cloud in the shape of a man. He was smoking a cigarette with a look on his face between Boredom and relaxation. "Same model. Weird eyes though."
Wallflower looked over at the man in the Parka, who asked in a deep, curt voice, "and you are?" He would have raised his eyebrows but he surprisingly had none.
Wallflower grew sheepish and said, "I'm…Wallflower Blush."
"And what did you do? Make flowers grow near their roots?"
Suddenly, near the lady in the prison uniform, a high crackly voice laughed. They limped from the shadows and Wallflower nearly stopped a scream.
What looked like a mangled, soaked green, broken and dripping skeleton with flesh limped towards her with a "smile" on its face. She then looked down and saw both of his arms had stumps.
"Ack! MAck HAck!"
He bent down and with a sickening crack, reattached his hand. "ThAcks Back!" He then walked to the lady in the prison uniform and sat down.
"As I was saying before that double entendre, what did you do again?"
Wallflower, who was still in horror at the mangled creature, suddenly remembered and said, "Oh yeah. I found this memory stone and I tried to erase Sunset Shimmer and her friends memories"- Midnight looked up interested -"But they destroyed it."
Midnight sat back down, looking sour. "Stupid friendship," She whispered very quietly under her breath, "You spend so long trying to get something but it's taken and blasts you to pieces."
"We'll I actually became their-"
"Your dang right girl," The lady in the prison uniform said, sitting up and revealing her name tag Heed. "We need to pay those idiots back for what they did. Especially against Goldheart. Goldheart! GOLDHEART!!!" She shouted the last word at the ceiling. As she was saying this, the man next to her muttered, "Uhh Can you get even more annoying?"
Heed suddenly shot daggers at him. "What?!" She shouted.
"What?" He asked in a bored voice.
"What do you say?"
"I don't know. You're so annoying, any insult I think gets forgotten."As Wallflower sat down, someone came from the stairs. It was a slightly overweight man in his thirties in an orange jumpsuit with red hair. However, on his shoulder was a huge slimy black slug-like thing with two red eyes. “Hey everyone! I’m Tighten and this is my pal Gargaroth.”
“Ehhh…” Gargaroth said weakly as Tighten took his seat.
Wallflower asked feebly, “So who sits at the center?”
“Ẅhy me of course!” said a loud and chirpy voice.
Everyone turned to the door as its cat flap flapped and revealed a small little Mogwai with white and brown patches. It would have been cute if not for the giant green octopus on its head. He had yellow eyes with black slits that took out most of the cuteness.
"Hey! Its you!" said Wallflower.
"Yes," said the Mogwai, sitting in his chair. "Its so nice to see you all here in one place. I was actually thinking it woulden't work."
"What would?" Wallflower asked again.
"I was created by a brilliant mind. He is the last of a great species and he tasked me with finding the best villains in the Multiverse. You are the best...of the cheapest."
The members looked intrigued.
"So rejoice," he bellowed as he rose from his chair. "For today does not mark the birth of this years Christmas day, but also the birth of your enemies' downfall, the birth of our to be tules, the birht of...THE MEGAP SYNDICATE!"
To be continued?
