I like the adventures of Twilight Sparkle and her friends.
Does this:
Remind you of this:
"Hey, you made me a guidance counselor. That means tough love."
Today is a special day for "Mini Twilight"! She is definitely one of my favorites aside from Apple Bloom and Diamond Tiara.
At first, we met her as a dictator who rule her village with an iron hoof, to Twilight's student, to student counselor and finally become Headmare of the School of Friendship.
Starlight is very good pony and I'm happy the Mane 6 help become like this. Thank you Lauren Faust and Kelly Sheridan for everything you do for us!

This article explores how the concept of categorization can be applied to Starlight Glimmer, a former antagonist and anti-hero character in My Little Pony. Let's have a discussion about these categories and see if anyone has a differing opinion or concurs with them.
Fallen Hero: Due to a sad past experience, she became increasingly pessimistic and angry. This was after being abandoned by Sunburst once he discovered his cutie mark, which left her feeling hurt and without purpose. Ultimately, this led her to become a tyrant who deprived others of their unique abilities all in the name of friendship.
Mastermind: Surprisingly, she has shown remarkable intelligence and expertise. With her cunning ways, she successfully earned the trust of an entire pony village, and her years of studying magic have paid off as she was able to quickly learn and merge spells, impressively outsmarting even Twilight. Her exceptional wizardry skills make it nearly impossible to overpower her due to the intricate nature of her plans and the meticulous preparation she puts into each scheme, always equipped with a contingency plan.
Master Orator: She has the ability to use her charm and charisma to influence and persuade others, including those who may be naive, by utilizing eloquent expressions and language. She has the ability to use words to taunt, confuse, and sow doubt in her opponents, even driving heroes to the brink with her clever tactics.
Master Manipulator: She possesses immense intelligence that leads her to avoid confrontation with a hero unless she believes there is no alternative and the hero is already defeated. She is highly skilled in driving a wedge between former allies, breaking friendships, corrupting and controlling others, destroying the innocence of individuals, and manipulating the fabric of society and the system in Equestria to cause unrest. Even before being viewed as a culprit and perceiving herself as a hero or harmless person, she possessed the capability to create massive chaos and overthrow entire societies. She was a deceptive hero who manipulated people into fighting on her behalf, but eventually it became clear that she was only using these battles to secure her own resources by setting rival groups against each other instead of opposing her. Her skills in creating conflict and turmoil among others were so remarkable that even when her tactics were revealed, she could still attract a significant number of supporters or devise alternative strategies.
Opportunist: She is an extremely shrewd pony who prioritizes her own gain above all else. She is not hesitant to manipulate any circumstance that arises in order to serve her motives. She changes her alliances as she pleases in pursuit of success, and even rationalizes her self-centered objectives with delusions. She did this to exploit any available opportunity to acquire authority for her own benefit, with the intention of subjugating others in the course of action.
Trickster: With her shrewdness and cunning intelligence, she was able to craftily employ deceitful strategies and sly tactics to dupe both heroes and foes. One such instance was when she managed to deceive the entire pony village and earn their trust, all to further her own objectives and reap the benefits.
Strategic: Through her cunning intellect and crafty ways, she posed significant obstacles for the characters in the story since she preferred using her tactics to eliminate their adversaries rather than confronting them directly, even if her methods prove unsuccessful.
Social Darwinist: She values individual talents and strives to build communities that are led by the most ambitious individuals, in order to prepare future generations for success. Her nihilistic beliefs lead her to view natural selection's scientific absolutism as absolving them of any accountability to the government of Equestria. She will ascend to the higher echelons of society, using any method necessary, and view herself as superior to those around her. She may even go as far as disapproving of kind acts, encouraging natural selection to dismiss the "weak" in favor of the "strong". Due to her focus on internal conflicts instead of eliminating opposing forces, her adherence to Darwinism ultimately ended up causing her downfall.
One-Man Army: She had immense power to confront and potentially endanger sizable factions of adversaries single-handedly. Despite having a large following, she has demonstrated great prowess in taking on multiple opponents simultaneously, including formidable foes like Twilight Sparkle and Queen Chrysalis.
Jingoist: She embraces an intense and forceful expression of boasting for her nation, authority, and people, believing that their residences and actions are superior in terms of protection. She strongly defends her beliefs and employs a fierce isolationist approach towards those who intrude upon her domains, striving to gain dominance on a grand scale and perceiving herself as preordained to rule Equestria.
Propagandist: She actively participated in the practice of propaganda, utilizing it to sway the opinions of society in her favor, whether that meant portraying herself as innocent, justified, desirable, and charming to the public, all while inflicting harm, tarnishing the reputations of admirable figures, or a mixture of both. She strategically manipulates public perception as a shield to avoid consequences for her illicit actions, while simultaneously leveraging her influence to disseminate propaganda and control public opinion.
Elitist: She holds the belief that ponies of higher social status and greater wealth are superior, evident in her opposition to the protagonists who hail from less affluent backgrounds. Her fixation on the etiquette, affluence, and attire of others was driven by her desire to maintain her social status and belittle those who were lower on the social ladder. In extreme cases, this obsession can result in abhorrent actions such as advocating for slavery, marginalizing the impoverished or socially inept, ostracizing individuals who are considered "outsiders," and even committing homicide against those who are deemed socially undesirable.
Wealthy: She leverages her power and sway to acquire whatever she had. Because of her authority resources, she has attained a level of sophistication that stems from residing in a superior household and receiving a higher education. As a result, she is more cultured and intellectually advanced compared to individuals with limited economic means. Actually, her social status had led her to become corrupt and immune to the consequences of breaking the law, as she had the power and resources to bribe her way out of trouble.
Con Artist: Due to her deceitful actions of tricking people out of their valuable possessions, she acted immorally and unlawfully, resulting in her being seen as untrustworthy and manipulative.
Spy: She covertly observes and collects intelligence on individuals, employing espionage techniques to remain undetected by her subjects. Using her disguise as a strategy, she infiltrated the enemy party and skillfully maneuvered from within to achieve her objectives.
Hegemonic: She desires to rule Equestria with a hunger for domination, seeking to transform it into a socialist-style "perfect society" under her oppressive leadership.
Honorable: Although she may have exhibited dishonesty and a self-serving attitude, it should be noted that she possesses a few positive qualities, including treating her adversaries with dignity and displaying a certain level of compassion and impartiality regardless of the final result. Although she used to cheat to secure victories, she has since overcome this behavior by refraining from battling individuals who are less capable than her. She also restrains her own strength and faithfully fulfills any promises she makes to those who help her achieve her goals.
Villains by Proxy: Although she didn't want to be malevolent, external factors or the distinct perspective of a narrative coerced her into it, implying that she wasn't willingly involved in it. Initially ignorant of the details of her actions, she ultimately makes amends upon achieving awareness. In addition, she suffered from traumatizing experiences that caused an irreparable damage to her mental health. Despite being perilous, she was able to comprehend the contrast between what is right and wrong. Although the heroes believe otherwise, the penalties imposed on her are unjustified.
Extravagant: Due to her great wealth, she indulges in luxury, exhibiting various characteristics like narcissism, fondness for extravagant possessions, decadent conduct, and ostentatious mannerisms.

Hey! So, I was looking through some things (particularly the Game Changer villains, because they’re cool) and there was one character that I really did feel fit the criteria, and that was MLP’s Starlight Glimmer. I’m tempted to add her to that list but I know Game Changers are similar to PE and that they have to be “approved” before being added or they’ll get removed. But I did really feel like she was a character lacking from that category - while villains like King Sombra were introduced before her, she still very much did change the tone to be much darker and more disturbing than before. A few examples include - manipulating several different people into moving into her totalitarian communist-esque village, which has often been described by several different wikis and people as a “cult,” which I heavily agree with. In addition she kidnapped the main characters and locked them in a room for days where she tried to condition them into joining her cult via constant eerie messages played over loudspeakers propagandizing her nihilistic philosophy. The references to communism are so obvious that there’s even a video you can find of episode writer M.A. Larson in an interview, being asked if he “Woke up one morning and decided to write an allegory about communism” (if you want proof it’s either in the YouTube video here or here, I don’t remember which exactly). The character herself of “Starlight Glimmer” has a few comedic moments later in the series, but I don’t see this as a prevention due to the following:
She doesn’t have a single comedic moment or scene where she is played for laughs until AFTER she is redeemed from being a villain and joins the main cast of heroes, and in a post-redemption flashback to when she was a villain where she delivered a dry-humor joke, but even still this scene doesn’t come until an episode after her redemption.
In both the Season 5 premiere and Season 5 finale, wherein she is the main antagonist (becoming redeemed at the end of the season finale), she is consistently played very darkly and quite tragically, even going so far as to continue her evil goals even after being shown that it would almost invariably turn the entire world into a barren, lifeless wasteland.
If she still doesn’t qualify, that’s perfectly fine! I’m not trying to push one way or the either even though I personally think she should qualify, but I’m trying to make sure this gets corrected if it’s simply an oversight.

So can you all comment on all faux affably evil villains that break the fourth wall while revealing there true nature to the audience?
Because the only faux affably evil villains I know reveal their natures are Starlight Glimmer and Cozy Glow.
Except Cozy Glow didn't reveal it to the fourth wall but was smiling at it at the end of the Season 8 finale. While Starlight revealed her true nature before revealing it to the Mane 6.
