Tough call but "You hit me with the phone" is a classic.
Big time
Yeah I agree, well written
Yeah a little
Always
He was a cool villain, loved him
Agreed
Well written antagonist who went from hatable to complex and interesting. I even felt a little bit bad for him when he died.
Billy Loomis because he and Steve are why I love Scream so much. Close call though.
@Romeo and Robot yes and that, this guy is just plain delusional
I forgot about that guy, didn't get much screen time. But yeah he was way worse than Jason and his reasoning was just plain dumb. Jason at least has the excuse of that whole Satanic Panic thing going on in the 80's
Okay first of all attacking the actor for what their character did is just low. Secondly, even though I initially thought Jason was worse, I never hated the character. I understood where he was coming from and that he was misinformed. I just thought staging what was essentially frontier justice was a little overkill. Jason does not deserve the hate. Though, I think this is partially because it's been so long since season 2 and many fans might've forgotten how horrible Billy was.
@WhatKindOfNameIsThis The movie version is not approved, just the novelization version. Though, I do agree. That version should have a separate page since he has a different personality
It didn't show up until now
No, in the movie he's a tragic villain who somewhat cared about Bruce, but he's a monster in the novelization. Everything he did by accident in the film was on purpose in the book. He was downright abusive towards Bruce (much like his comic book counterpart), didn't care when he accidentally killed his wife, and later cried crocodile tears to Betty about Edith's death. Even going so far as to smile when she complies.
He's tragic but he sure isn't an anti-villain. Anti-villains have a noble goal that they go too far to achieve. Billy never had a noble cause he was fighting for
The anime kind of took advantage of how some fans were rooting for Light in spite of his crimes becoming increasingly worse from what I understand. That’s why they attempted to play towards his sympathizers just a little bit.
In the anime I believe Light's reaction was genuine at first, but I also believe the last bit of good in Light died with his father. He clearly doesn't care by the finally though.
Light Yagami for me, I'm genuinely surprised we haven't gotten a Pure Evil Removal Proposal from one of those "Light's the good guy" fans. The story literally spells out that Light is a delusional maniac with a god complex.
