So your definition of someone with "guts" is a person stupid enough to walk into fights they know that they can't win for no reason, while also risking every aspect of their plans by exposing their means of executing said plans (the EDITH glasses in this case) to direct contact with the enemy, knowing that the enemy would do anything and everything to either snatch it away or destroy it?

Also technically Mysterio IS fighting Spider-Man by using his modus operandi - his drones, instead of just getting into a fistfight with a person who survived a direct train crash and effortlessly overpowered the Winter Soldier's metal arm. Someone with "guts" doesn't mean that they would deliberately and willingly put themselves at such a disadvantage where they'd get whacked instantly, because Mysterio has AVERAGE human physicality which alone stands no chance against Spider-Man who can bench-press trucks.

I also should repeat that Mysterio is willing to risk getting shot by his own drones just to kill Spider-Man, while also smiling when he's finally defeated, proving that he only has fear that all people have and is not excessively controlled by that fear, therefore does not qualify as a coward. If you fail to see that then you're being ignorant.

He doesn't qualify as a coward. He was willing to get all his drones to fire on Spider-Man despite the risk of himself getting shot. As for showing fear when his drones are getting destroyed, that's self-preservation kicking in, not cowardice. Unless you were a total nihilistic sadomasochist who didn't give a damn about yourself, you would feel fear when someone with many times your strength closes the distance on you in combat, and you wouldn't just let them whack you because otherwise it would be a quick and stupid death.

I saw your edit descriptions on MCU Mysterio's page and you sounded so entitled lol. Your logic sounds like anyone feeling fear when approached by a guy who survived a direct hit from a train is a coward. No, all people who aren't completely deranged will feel fear for their lives; cowards let that fear control them. Mysterio isn't that, he's just a person smart enough not to just let themselves get whacked by a person strong enough to kill them in one punch.

Not to mention that he has the EDITH glasses that allows him to control the drones. If he gets punched in the face with those glasses on, it's game over; he would have no control over his means of conducting his operation, because either the interface would be destroyed or Spider-Man would take it. Either way, it would have eliminated all chances of possible counterplay. So a person in Mysterio's situation would be utterly stupid to stand there and take a superhuman punch.

Yeah, a villain may have an actual reason behind their acts that is understandable by the audience but then they take their actions to the extent where their principles become irrelevant and thus destroying their own innocence and making them Pure Evil Hypocrites.

@Macrodio Most probably, but from what I have observed, the Psychopaths with Affab-Evil categories are not really editing errors so the way I see it, there are exceptions to the "No Affable Psychopaths" trend.

If Batman hadn't cured the Dionesium-infused Joker Virus bioweapon which Joker unleashed upon the human population during Endgame, the resulting worldwide pandemic would have EASILY killed billions and billions of people.

The standard which Joker holds is "as long as the little game between me and Batsy continues." The Batman Who Laughs wants to ruin the game. But these standards do not make the Joker less evil. As said before, Silver Age Joker still remorselessly commits mass atrocities that brainwash the entire Justice League to viciously attack Batman. The Standards which has the Joker despise the Batman Who Laughs is no obstacle to the level of evil Joker can commit. He still continues to slaughter billions and turn people mad so long as the "game" continues. “I told you you should have shot that thing when you had in that cage. It is a wrong thing." But it is clear that Joker's definition of BWL being a "wrong thing" is the fact that Batman Who Laughs wants to ruin the fun. The game between Batman and Joker. It's not much of a limiting factor to the Joker's evil because preserving that OBSESSIVE "game" will not avert the ruthless massacres of many billions of people, the shameless abusing of lovers, and the transformation of innocent people into killers. The key term is "OBSESSION." Joker is OBSESSED with the seemingly-endless battle between himself and Bruce Wayne (Prime Earth). Batman Who Laughs wants to ruin it, so it's natural that the Joker would be pissed as a result. It's no obstacle to the depths of evil the Joker can sink as part of that cyclical one-man deathmatch.

Joker has a clear moral agency, so his insanity is a complement to his evil, not a boundary.

Silver Age Joker (the one in Endgame) calling BWL "A wrong thing" ≠ "I hate the BWL because he tried to kill trillions of people." The Joker's definition of the Batman Who Laughs being "wrong" comes from the fact that Joker enjoys the "game" he plays with Batman, while the Batman Who Laughs wants to smash the board into pieces. In the Joker's deadly game, there was no rules preventing the deaths of billions. Joker could torment everyone Batman knew, drive entire populations to annihilate themselves, manipulate parents into lethally attacking their own children, torture teenagers until they beg for death, etc., so long as there was still the endless cycle of Joker vs. Batman, the clash of two symbols. Therefore, Joker's hatred of the BWL is simply because the Joker wants to the game to continue, Laughs threatens to ruin the fun inherent with the game itself. It's of no obstacle to the evilness of the Joker as the game he plays with Batman still results in genocidal events that shock the multiverse, kill many droves of innocent lives, and consistently angers and scares the living hell out of Batman himself.

Silver Age Joker is still Pure Evil, a Necessary Pure Evil.

In The Batman Who Laughs (Volume 2) #1 , Joker appears in the Batcave and shoots himself in the heart, exposing Bruce to the toxin that turned Earth -22 Bruce Wayne into BWL.

Just because Silver Age Joker attacked BWL doesn't make Joker less evil, because after the deed was done he still had no qualms about literally turning Batman into another Batman Who Laughs. There was no reduction in Joker's villainy during Joker's attack on Batman Who Laughs. It was simply Evil vs. Evil and Necessary Evil. This is not a redeeming quality, as though the Joker was needed to overpower The Batman Who Laughs and foil Barbatos' attempt to eradicate the Multiverse, Joker is still extremely dangerous to the people around him. He continues to cause chaos and trouble wherever he goes, he's still the same Joker who CRASHED the wedding between Bats and Catwoman. He later killed himself in front of Bruce, attempting to make him another Batman Who Laughs who could have repeated the same crimes as the first; Prime Earth would have become Earth -22 with extra steps if it weren't for Batman managing to cure himself soon after. Yes, perhaps Joker despised the Batman Who Laughs, but it was most certainly a hatred founded on something along the lines of the fact that Batman Who Laughs was about to ruin the seemingly-interminable war of attrition between The Dark Knight and the Pale Man, and not because Batman Who Laughs was about to completely disintegrate quadrillions of lives - many of them innocent - forever. Necessary Evil is not a redeeming quality if the Necessary Villain still willingly abuses the living [REDACTED] out of people and commits unspeakable atrocities for the sheer sake of committing unspeakable atrocities, knowing that doing so is morally-wrong and choosing to stay at the deepest depths of the dark side.

And the Joker who attacked BWL in Metal is... guess what... Joker from Endgame. Pure Evil.

@Romeo and Robot Joker helping Prime-Batman and attacking Batman Who Laughs was likely a pragmatic move. He stopped BWL from blowing up the multiverse not to save lives, but because destroying the multiverse would ruin all the fun. This is exemplified by him having no qualms about subsequently turning Prime Batman into Laughs later on. It's not a redeeming quality, only Necessary Evil.
