That’s not necessary. We have portrayal sections for a reason.
We don’t have a template for rejected villains because it makes it look like we’re looking down on them. We’ve been over this.
When did I ever attribute him to a "Fallen Hero"? What I meant was, even after he killed Bryce, he was still seen as a good guy, and again, like I said, his murder of Bryce was well-intentioned.
As I said in Discord, he’s a very morally ambiguous character. He’s seen in-universe as a good guy, and he murdered Bryce to avenge Hannah and Jessica, but he still committed the worst crime in the series (actual murder, that is).
I would have voted cut, but it’s not September 6 yet, and Stolen5487 and I already reserved this season.
Yes, because in spite of his redeeming qualities and well intentions, he’s still guilty of some severe crimes such as genocide and torture. Not every villains have to be absolutely irredeemable to count as villains.
This is great! I’ll start working on the pages tomorrow.
I feel like people still need to vote on candidates that are already PE, and here's why: before the "PE proposal" rules were established, PE gets abused a lot, and other users can miss it sometimes and fail to revert the abuse, so if people vote on characters who were already added before the rules, we can formally confirm the character's status as Pure Evil.
Congratulations, guys! You deserve it.
You mean the fate of forcing people to kill their loved ones? Well, that just makes me more convinced to vote "keep". And again, proposals are no longer done in discussions. We now make proposals via blog posts.
I don't recall seeing any remorse from him. That, and we now do proposals in blog posts. "Keep".
Consensus: Not Pure Evil
He sounds like the main antagonist to me.
Speaking of the Mountain, don't forget that he crushed a conscious man's eyes and smashed his head into pieces. Locke barely does anything even close to that.
@Zygnema998 The thing is, you mentioned that Locke is a sadist who tried to rape Brienne and chopped off Jaime's hand. Roose is also a sadist (subtly tortured Jaime by serving him meat that he couldn't cut, and Brienne by forcing her to wear a womanly dress even though she is a tomboy). He also raped Ramsay's mother under the dead body of her husband, and he took part in orchestrating the Red Wedding, giving him an exceedingly high body count. So in my opinion, Roose is also worse.
Even when we take Roose and Ramsay out of the picture, the overall heinous standards of GoT make Locke look like a joke.
Also, this isn't even a proper effortpost, just to tell you.
I vote "no". Roose and his son Ramsay are both worse.
The OP did go over the basics, though. He said it all in a rushed way, but ultimately, he did mention the most important parts.
Anyways, like I’ve said before, I’m pretty sure it’s not completely against the rules to make a proposal that doesn’t follow the “required format” 100%.
Er...I personally don't see anything wrong with this effortpost. The only problem is that it's a bit rushed, but the basics (heinous standards, redeeming qualities, and crimes) are all included in the proposal.
