The page's exact words are "whether or not Engel truly cared for Bubi is questionable, as she recovers quickly from his death and never mentions him again." Assuming Iikka's on board for Engel being added to the pure evil category, that's 4-4.</p>

<p>@ShockwaveDude120 The last time I checked, if a villains has a redeeming quality but abandons it, then it doesn't count against them. And the fact that Engel wants revenge for the damage BJ did to her face but not for BJ's death strongly implies this in my opinion.</p>

<p>"Loved" being the key word, that doesn't necessarily mean she still does, further suggested by the fact that she seems to have moved on to his killer.</p>

<p>One minor detail I'd like to point out is it's never explicitly stated Doris was trying to skin Lewis. But she was obviously trying to kill him in a gruesome way, so that doesn't count against her at all.</p>

<p>Looking at this proposal, it seems she never mentions Bubi in the sequel, whereas she wants revenge for damage to her face. If she got said injury in the first game , then it seems very likely that she's gotten over Bubi's death. Also I wouldn't have called her interest in BJ (further evidence that she's either gotten over Bubi or never really cared about him in the first place) redeeming.</p>

<p>Why did you delete my comment? I'm voting to cut Babidi, and Jox said he's not entirely convinced Super Buu counts either. Even with his body count he still has nothing on Frieza and Zamasu.</p>

<p>I vote cut, and while I'm at it I'm bringing Super Buu up for removal because I don't think he counts either. Aside from not being nearly as bad as other DBZ villains, he goes out of his way to avoid harming Mr. Satan and Bee, even when he harmed everyone else. And unlike Kid Buu, Super Buu made absolutely no attempt to even spit out Majin Buu's influence, even if it meant depowering, especially if he wanted to just kill Mr. Satan then and there.</p>

<p>I haven't seen Sherlock, but if a villain's redeeming quality is in any ambiguoius, then it's a very weak argument against them. Looking at the first discussion on Roger, it was pointed out that he was never explicitly confirmed to feel remorse, and given everything we know about him it's highly unlikely. Even if you assume he felt remorse in spite of that, it would count as offscreen due to not being confirmed. And since offscreen villainy doesn't count in a character's favour, an offscreen redeeming quality shouldn't count against them.</p>
