Many fans of noted strong similarities between Aaravos and Dark Lord of the Hobbit/LOTR franchise Sauron.
Both are divine beings at war with their own kind, and use gifts and manipulations to sway mortals to their cause. However, does Aaravos fit the role of a Dark Lord? Would you say he counts as the Dark Lord of the Dragon Prince franchise?

@Optimus Magnum Over Lord I agree with you completely. This is a major issue I have with movies that portray sharks as mindless killing machines. Sharks are predators, yes, but they are beautiful, majestic creatures that deserve so much protection. Without them our oceans are in jeopardy and the people of this world must do more for their survival.
It breaks my heart seeing how much we have polluted their waters, killed them off as monsters when they are not, and it is so horrendous how millions of them are killed every year by poachers for petty wealth and bowls of soup. Thank you so much for spreading this valuable message and realizing that these glorious animals are not the monsters so many films have made them out to be.

He was a very interesting villain and surely showed the depths of imperial fanaticism. However, I didn’t like how he still showed short sightedness in the way he treated his subordinates. With the Empire fractured and resources scarce he still callously sacrificed so many of his troops. That is not only immoral, but highly incompetent thinking, given the previously stated circumstances.

I must admit I enjoyed Naraku as a villain because of his exceptional intelligence and his flesh manipulating powers. Paul Dobson truly showed exceptional talent in voice acting him. However, I would have preferred if they made him a bit more complex or an anti-villain
