I think Belos and Lotso's defeat is satisfying because they both did bad things and refuse to see what they did wrong.
Dio is too evil to even call a tragic character but he did have a bad life growing up in a poor environment, his mother died by working herself to death, and he has an alcoholic and abusive father. Some people could be sympathetic to him with this tragedy even though he is far past this tragedy.
I sympathize Superman from Injustice being brainwashing into killing his pregnant wife Lois by the Joker and his home city Metropolis destroyed but when the Injustice games came out he threw away all the qualities that prevent him being being more evil and become nothing but a hypocritical and delusional dictator who willing to kill people who critical of his Regime.
The Penguin tragedy still hold up and this about villains who subverted their tragedy not villains who still tragic.
For example, I sympathize with Lotso from Toy Story his backstory is sad about being left behind by his owner Daisy and her replacing him with a new toy which leads him to become a villain it becomes nothing but an excuse for his evil actions he tortures many toys that had nothing to do with his tragedy he leave Woody and his friends to die even after they save him his evil action drop the the sympathy I had for him.
This is no big deal let leave just leave the pages alone untill the next fnaf game confirmed that mimic and Glitchtrap and Burntrap are the same person.
Ugly old man
Ozai burns his son's face when he refuses to fight him and neglects his daughter which turns her drive insane.
Darkseid abused and neglected his son Kalibak even killing him numerous times whenever he failed him just to teach him a lesson.
Kotaro Shimura abused his kids whenever they said they wanted to become heroes due to the fact that his mom is a hero and not let go of his grudge against his mom.
Omni-Man is a bad dad when comes to beating the shit out of Mark and almost killing him but despite what he did to him at least he still cares for him even leaving Earth with tears showing remorse for what he has done.
Doma:Despite his disgusting moments and his evil crimes the creator Koyoharu Gotouge written him to be seen as tragic even though he subverting his tragedy.
How about Superman from the injustice games I think he was seen as a Three-dimension tragic character due to being brainwashed by the joker to kill his pregnant wife Lois Lane and lost his home city Metropolis but the time when Injustice Games were released he subverted his tragedy completely and nearly all his redeeming qualities becoming a delusional dictator who wants to control the world.
So Three-dimensional villains are seen as tragic right?
Can someone tell me what dose tragic three-dimensional villain mean?
Deathstroke from the teen titans.
Agree that just show how petty Maleficent is.
Maleficent just put a curse on Aurora when she was a baby all because she was not invited to a party, which is the pettiest thing I saw a villain did.
Agree he should suffer for his action for what he did to Guts
