I'm sure the only reason people are so adamant about defending the characters' despicable actions is because the game doesn't present them as awful as they really are
Alphys literally treated sentient people as pets while she held them captive in her dungeon where she performs mad science because she doesn't want people to know she fecked up come on lmao this would not pass in any other piece of fictional media

Undertale generally downplays the evil actions of its characters, either trying to play them for laughs or burying them in the tragedy of the perpetrator, frisk/the player being the only exception because toby wants to do a "you're the real monster" thing I guess, it pisses me off ngl

Good qualities: good friend, was willing to sacrifice herself to save a monster child's life, supposedly beats up monster bad guys as well and not just human """""bad guys""""", and overall seems to actually be a hero when it comes to fellow monsters
Bad qualities: obviously and undeniably racist against humanity to the point of being genocidal (being genocidal against a sentient species should automatically be more than enough to get someone into this wiki), and is not only fine with but wants to kill an extremely innocent child who isn't even participating in the war and just wants to go home, not just because it's her job and she wants monsterkind to be free but out of genuine hatred for the extremely innocent child and their species (asgore, who has a page here, doesn't actually want to hurt anyone, including humans, and is a perfectly fine dude if not for him being an anti-villain by proxy)
Reminder that this isn't a pure evil proposal or anything like that, this is a "bad enough to get a page on this wiki" proposal, there are plenty of people who are undeniably much better than undyne but still have pages here, including fellow undertale characters, this is quite open and shut

If a flat pure evil villain is just really entertaining to watch and fun to hate, e. g. Dio Brando and some Disney villains, then it's alright, if not then they just suck period, yes there is something wrong with being 2D and boring lol

There are plenty of grey zone anti-heroes on this wiki, I'd personally say even calling undyne an anti-hero is too forgiving, she literally wants to wipe out mankind and is entirely fine with killing a fully innocent child as long as they're human lmao
Undyne is marley arc Eren Yeager with more redeeming qualities, coming from an anime only
