This poll makes me realize they keep getting better with villains. Ronan was boring. Ego was an interesting character, though being a twist villain he only spent like 15-30 minutes being a bad guy. And then there's the High Evolutionary, who's a scum 24/7 and still manages to be a compelling character who drives the good and emotional story that is volume III.
