"Hikaru", the unnamed monster possessing Hiaru is the titular main antagonist of the mystery horror manga and anime series The Summer Hikaru Died. He is the mysterious monster who took over the body of a teenage boy named Hikaru. The monster retains all of Hikaru's memory and personality. They take use of this by impersonating Hikaru and tries to continue his peaceful life with the host's best friend, Tsujinaka Yoshiki. He is a spawn, a species of mysterious creatures from the "Other Side."
Appearance[]
The creature takes on the appearance of Hikaru, a cheerful boy with white hair, eyebrows and blue eyes. "Hikaru" is short. He is missing a left teeth as shown by his smiles. He typically wears a white shirt. "Hikaru" is described as having a fox-like appearance. They can be seen as having red eyes at times in the body of Hikaru.
Personality[]
Possessing the personality of Hikaru, the monster can exactly act like his host. "Hikaru" is a childish boy who shows some degree of curiosity unlike his best friend. To his shock, Yoshiki saw through "Hikaru" disguise and the monster begs him to let it be Hikaru, but Yoshiki still suspects them.

In practice, the monster is a being that can manipulate a human minds by looking into their eyes.
