"Mad Dog" Hải is the main antagonist of the 2022 Vietnamese action film Furies.
He is the leader of his criminal organization who is responsible for girl and drug trafficking. He is also Jacqueline Hoang's arch-nemesis, having been responsible for the death of her husband and young son, prompting her to send Wild Daisies to kill him so she can take over his territory.
He was portrayed by Thuận Nguyễn.
Personality[]
Hải is portrayed to be truly one of the vilest scums, due to his crimes of trafficking on drugs and girls. He holds nothing positive towards anything he sees besides greed. While he also has a side of laughability, he is truly fearsome and presented as a disgusting threat throughout.
History[]
Not much known about Hải's past and how did he become the leader of The Big Four. At some point, he ordered his gang to attack Jacqueline Hoang's family, resulting in the deaths or her husband and young son and her being grievously injured. Jacqueline sought revenge on him and thus trained the Wild Daisies vigilante group in hope to kill him one day.
Hải was introduced where he entered his bar and raped a tied up girl. Later, he was interrogated by Long, who was revealed by Jacqueline to be a mole in his gang, to inform about Tèo having to stay in business properly, with Hải discarding such situation. He then had a drink while torturing one of his mobs about our three protagonists beating him up.
When Hải interrogated a man after Tèo's death, he shot him to death much to the latter's annoyance to him. He told Long that such business is rather important. He then received a phone call from him while the former replied that sheer luck came to him, and he was ordered that there are three more days for the delivery.
During another night, Hải was enjoying his party with two girls, who are Hồng and Bi in disguise. He dragged Bi to have fun with him, and when the three entered his room, he began to rape the girls, but due to his dismay, he was attacked by the duo. He then ran away, then ordered Sơn to finish them off, while holding the death responsibility of Hồng.
In the night before Hải's demise, he ordered his goons to attack Bi and Hồng after alerting their invasion. When they failed, he drugged his last pawn to attack them. When he saw Long betrayed him, Hải interrogated him as soon as he began to pull his trigger, only Jacqueline to enter and shot him. Jacqueline explained her true goal to him, before shooting the disgusting mobster in the head and ending his life for good.
