The Ray is a minor antagonist of the Angry Birds franchise serving as the main antagonist of the Angry Birds Toons episode, "Fired Up". It is a powerful living sun ray accidentally created by Chuck.

Appearance

The Ray is an anthropomorphic beam of light created via a magnifying glass being shined on by the sun. It has cartoony orange arms and legs.

Biography

When Chuck views Matilda in the distance bringing a cloth for the eggs so that they can stay warm during a windy day, he gets an idea to use a magnifying glass to continue keeping the eggs warm. However, this would all turn into a disaster when the sun appears from the clouds, causing the glass to go out of control and create the ray. After its creation it chases Red, Matilda, and Bomb. When the Flock hides behind a tree, the Ray stops in order to destroy it causing it to chase the birds once again. Chuck then finds the partially destroyed cloth, and uses it to cover the magnifying glass, causing the ray to disappear and ending its chaos once and for all.
