One, also written as 1, is the main antagonist of Mike Salcedo's Number Lore series, the sequel to the Alphabet Lore.
He is an alien and a sentient number who seeks to find and kidnap X so he can create 2, 3, 4, and 5. He is also the arch-nemesis of X and N.
Appearance[]
1 is a blue anthropomorphic number 1 with only one eye high-tech gadgetry.
Biography[]
1 was headed to planet Z, where the alphabet letters lived, to find X. He eventually got there and kidnapped X. However, X alongside Y, M, and B fought off and defeated 1. 1, faking defeat, escaped back to his ship and flew off, only to fly back and kidnapped X again. 1 then stole his asterisk gem that gave him the ability to multiply. 1 then cloned himself while sporting an evil grin. The 2 then flew the ship off in an attempt to escape, only to for M to restrain their ship, both letters formed a sum that gave birth to 2. 1 and his clone sent 2 to attack the letters down below. 2 succeeded in taking down Y, M, and B and returned to the ship cackling evilly.
1 and his clone piloted the ship across Z, laughing while attempting to escape him and the other letters. However, Z used one of his ellipsis gems to block the calculator ship's escape. 1 landed the ship back on Z and formed a sum with 2 to give birth to 3.
L quickly restrained the ship and threw 1 out alongside his clone, 2 and 3. The four numbers were quickly stapled to O's colon gem. However, as L flew off after the van and the other letters weren't looking, 1 activated a blowtorch from his pack to break the colon gem and set him and the other numbers free.
After 1 broke free, he mounted a cowboy hat and hopped on 2, who galloped like a horse while pulling 1's clone and 3 in the equation machine like a train. The numbers ran over several letters, including G and X. U was also almost hit in the process.
1 later ordered 4 to be created by having 3 add with 1's clone, but g Jr, a newborn letter, tampered with the equations machine, causing it to go into subtraction mode and create a green version of 2, which fell off and exploded. A BIKE (consisting of letters B, E, I, and K) saved g Jr. after the latter had fallen off the equations machine.
The numbers were able to regain control of the machine and 1 was able to successfully do the sum he intended so 4 could be made to hold the BIKE and later, O off.
Later, when the numbers reached F's Cave where the calculator ship was taking off, 1 dismounted his cowboy hat and scanned the ship to see it was escaping. 1 rode on 4, who used her body extension ability to try and reach the ship, but 4 failed to reach the ship and was hurt. 1 fell off 4 in horror.
Afterwards, he and the numbers were relentlessly attacked by G and P. 1's pack ran low on batteries, resulting in him being unable to use it for a long period of time. After a failed attempt at creating 7, 1 order 2 to go in the equations machine with 3 so that 5 could be created.
As 5 was created, G and P collided with the numbers, causing a huge explosion which made the machine get completely destroyed immediately after the creation process. 1's clone used a force shield from his pack to sacrifice himself to protect 1 from the impact before dying in front of his origin master. 1 was very upset after his clone died and disappeared.
1 tearfully watched in satisfaction as G died (from a fatal smash by 5) in front of P, who became furious with the numbers that she breathed a plasma bolt to break out. 1 cowered behind 5, who launched P off of Z (who was trying to revive G by reversing the ellipsis gem moons). P's fate was left unknown as she crashed through the moons, resulting in them raining on Z. 1 watched in annoyance as 5 picked a shard from a moon up. 1 ordered for F's cave to become a castle, so 4 planted roots around it. 1 proceeded to make an army of 5s by giving 5 the asterisk gem so the latter could clone himself to rampage across Z.
1 used a bit of the equations machine to crown himself king of a new empire formed on Z.
Personality[]
1 shows to be quite intelligent, being able to pilot a ship to travel across the universe. He also appears to be a narcissist, due to feeling love for his clone.
