Three, or simply 3, is a major antagonist of Mike Salcedo's Number Lore, the sequel to Alphabet Lore. He is an anthropomorphic frog-number who tried to prevent the letters from following him and the other numbers.
Biography[]
3 was created when 1 and 2 formed a sum to stop the letters from preventing the calculator ship from escaping. 3 quickly went down to battle them and used his lava breath to engage J and K in a fight. 3 then injured the two letters with his tongue. A newborn letter, g Jr., a son of G and P, attempted to defeat 3, but 3, unfazed by g Jr.'s attempt at defeating him used his tongue to throw g Jr. off the ship. P quickly caught her child and attempted to fight 3, who immediately inhaled P and trapped her in a cube. However, L quickly used his gem to grab 3 and the ship and shake them all out to be stuck together by O's colon gem.
However, 1 used a blowtorch on the colon gem and broke it. 3 and the other three numbers were released and 3 used his tongue to form a "couple" to 1 and 2 so that a "train" would be created: 1 riding on 2 like a cowboy on a horse, and 3 and 1's clone in the equations machine. The numbers made their way towards the calculator ship, running over and hurting several letters in the process.
Later, 1 ordered 4 to be created, so 3 and 1's clone got ready to do the sum but it was interrupted by g Jr., who put the equation machine on "subtraction mode" and made a failed clone of 2. However, the numbers regained control and 3 helped 1's clone create 4 by having the machine go into addition mode again. 4 took over as transporter for the equations machine and soon after 1 noticed the calculator ship escaping, 3 was boosted by 4 to the calculator ship. 4 tried to stop it, but failed as the ship rammed into and injured her. 3 and the other numbers watched in horror while falling from the ship's departure point.
Personality[]
3 appears to merciless, attacking J with his fire breath almost immediately after his creation. He also appears to play dirty. As seen when he grabs J and K with his tongue during their clash.
Trivia[]
- His blue tongue and yellow eyes are the same as the colors of 1 and 2 respectively, and 1+2=3.
- His pupils are diamond shaped, befitting his villainous appearance and personality.
- His high-pitched voice contrasts with his threatening appearance.
- Despite being a number, like his comrades 1 and 2, his yellow eyes and blue tongue makes him look different from them. He also poops out anyone he swallows nigh-instantly, trapped inside of some sort of bouncy cube-like waste.
- The fact he can imprison others in cubes may be due to a cube being a number to the power of three.
