50% Chad is a recurring villain from the Cartoon Network original series, Teen Titans Go!, first appearing in the episode "50% Chad", where he was first hired by the Titans, themselves. 50% Chad is the bottom half of a giant man in his socks and underwear, who causes half of crimes throughout the city of Jump City.
In "50% Chad", The Teen Titans were sick of fighting the same old song and dance with such villains as The H.I.V.E. Five, Brain, and Control Freak, so they decided to hold auditions for new villains. The villains they held auditions for were Folding Paper Man, Bootface, and none other than the legendary chad, himself, 50% Chad. 50% Chad was a giant pair of legs coming off of a waste that was not even attached to a man.
When 50% Chad introduced himself, he told the Teen Titans that he probably fought The Doom Patrol but because he had no face, he didn't have the ability to see, so he doesn't know if he actually fought them or not. He told the Teen Titans his limitations, however, which is that he's only available for villainy, part time. He also assured them that he was going to be pretty incompetent, only showing up half the time and that he didn't care so much about what they'd think of him, since as a half-Chad, he only half-cares. After hearing him, among all the other contenders, the titans discussed how great 50% Chad was. Raven described him as "quirky" and "unpredictable". After some more debate, Robin decided they should let the villains all do some test runs around the city to make their decisions.
50% Chad went out into Jump City and destroyed half the city, robbing a bank, smashing a truck, stealing some hot dogs, and lighting up half the city on fire. 50% Chad said that he would have destroyed more but he only finishes half of what he starts. The Teen Titans showed up on the scene and they got right into action. In battle, 50% Chad got Cyborg in a half nelson, flung his sock at Starfire, hypnotized Raven with the half-step so he could kick her, clawed up half of Beast Boy's body with his jagged toenails, and nearly stomped Robin to death before the titans ultimately decided to hire him as a villain.
After hiring 50% Chad, the titans were then bombarded by Folding Paper Man and Bootface, who were pissed off at them for snubbing them in favor of him. The Titans apologized, saying that they could only hire one new villain and wished them the best of luck in future endeavors. The other villains weren't gunna go down that easy though and they started to fight with the Teen Titans, planning to destroy them on the spot. Folding Paper Man turned into an origami swan and Bootface trapped them in quicksand. However, 50% Chad decided to pull a 50% chad move and fight the other villains off. He kicked Bootface in the face and folded Folding Paper Man in half 8 times.
The Teen Titans were ever so grateful to 50% Chad for saving them from less desirable villains and thanked him for his services. As Cyborg said, he may be 50% Chad but he's 100% Awesome!
