A.C.R.O.N.Y.M. (A Criminal Regiment of Nasty Young Men) is a one-time villainous organization from the FOX animated sitcom, Futurama, only appearing in the episode "Saturday Morning Fun Pit". They are a fictional-fictional terrorist group that only appears in the in-universe cartoon, "G.I. Zapp".
History[]
In "Saturday Morning Fun Pit", Richard Nixon and Spiro Agnew watched the Saturday morning cartoon, "G.I. Zapp". In the show, A.C.R.O.N.Y.M. had stolen a shrapnel laser from G.I. Zapp. Zapp Brannigan and his crew went to get their stolen laser back. Meanwhile, Professtro fired a surface to air missile at them. G.I. Zapp escaped their helicopter, while the missile blew it up, killing only Kif. As G.I. Zapp parachuted down to Fort Weaponsworth, A.C.R.O.N.Y.M. fired a bunch of deadly lasers at them. Nutcracker threw a grenade down at a group of soldiers and blew them up. An unknown member of G.I. Zapp vaporized them to dust with a death ray. Box Cutter threw an ax into one of their chests. One of the soldiers managed to shoot Freezer Burn in the chest, which pained him greatly and shortly afterward, killed him. After the death of Freezer Burn, G.I. Zapp was pissed off at A.C.R.O.N.Y.M. and vowed to avenge their fallen hero. Through playing around, G.I. Zapp started playing dirty with A.C.R.O.N.Y.M. and started brutally attacking them in such a violently graphic manner and killing their people in cold blood. Nut Cracker used a giant nutcracker to decapitate a member, Box Cutter used a box cutter to kill one of them, Water Boarder drowned one of them in a trough, and lastly, Orphan Crippler took out a massive array of deadly weapons and brutally tore a single soldier apart, physically damaging him and bringing him to death. At this point, Nixon thought the cartoon was way too irredeemably violent and just turned off the TV.
