A, also known as Ace, is a minor antagonist in the Bungo Stray Dogs anime and manga.
He is one of the Port Mafia's five executives responsible for the organization's finances. After the Mafia captured Fyodor Dostoyevsky, A volunteered to interrogate him.
He was voiced by Daisuke Ono, who has also voiced Sebastian Michaelis in Black Butler, Shūkurō Tsukishima and Mabashi in Bleach, Psaro Banesword in Dragon Quest, Sikorsky in Baki, Jack Vessalius in Pandora Hearts.
Biography[]
According to Kouyou Ozaki, A was a gambler who laid waste to Port Mafia's casino. He became a member executive of the Mafia after bribing important authorities and became responsible for the group's money.
After Fyodor Dostoyevsky was captured, A convinced Ougai Mori to let him interrogate the leader of the Rats in the House of the Dead. He met with Dostoyevsky and tried to convince him to join his clique and defeat Mori. Dostoyevsky did not agree, which caused angry A to hit him with a bottle of wine.
Later, Dostoyevsky challenged A into a card play and won. He managed to convince A that they were both locked in Fyodor's mind and death was the only option to escape. A hung himself on a lamp wire and died, thinking he would escape.
Abilities[]
- The Madness of the Jewel King: A's ability allows him to turn lifespan of his underlings into jewels. In order to do that, the underling must be wearing a special collar which they cannot take off until they die.
Trivia[]
- It was suggested that A's real name is Alan Bennett, as his ability is likely named after The Madness of George III. However, it was never outwardely stated, likely to avoid copyright problems.
