His next target is an elementary school, where he kills dozens of students and staff, triggering a deadly shootout with law enforcement. Severely injured, he retreats to an abandoned hospital to tend to his wounds before moving on to the slums, where he then massacres the homeless population.

During his escape, Abaddon is injured further and collapses, leading to his capture. He awakens in a maximum-security psychiatric hospital, where he is heavily restrained and subjected to daily treatment. After several years, a new nurse named Dolly is hired as his caretaker, beginning to secretly administers experimental drugs, inducing vivid hallucinations of hell and leading Abaddon to believe he is destined to become the Antichrist. Plagued by delusions and yearning for eternal conflict, he ends his life by biting through his tongue, embracing what he perceives as his fate in the underworld.
