The Abomatons are major antagonists in the Disney Channel series The Owl House, serving as major antagonists in Season 2 and minor antagonists in Season 3. They are weaponized Abomination-based robots created by Amity Blight's parents Alador and Odalia Blight which are later sold to members of the Emperor's Coven. They first appeared in the episode "Escaping Expulsion".

History[]

One of the Abomatons first appears as a test run for Alador and Odalia's presentation. They sent the Abomaton to fight their daughter Amity which they force to lose to it on purpose but when it gets close to Amity's Grom picture with her friends she destroys the Abomaton. Much to her parents anger and annoyance, when they discover that her friends are the cause of Amity behavior they force Principal Bump to expelled them from Hexside. However, they offer Luz and proposition to come to their next presentation.

At first Luz is hesitant but comes anyway when all her plans to get back into Hexside failed. At the presentation Alador and Odalia present their new Abomaton 2.0 which is bigger and more powerful then the previous Abomaton, because it is designed to attack until the target is destroyed. They decide to test it out on Luz who is fact Amity's replacement, after narrowly trying and to escape the Abomaton and putting up a good fight against it Luz is about to be crushed by the Abomaton when Amity arrives to save her. Amity then threatens her parents to let Luz, Willow, and Gus back into Hexside or else she'll destroy the Abomaton in front of their buyers. At first they are hesitant but eventually relent. Amity then lets the Abomaton defeat her calling it off.

Later while Alador is making adjustments to the Abomaton the Golden Guard appears and makes a deal with the Blights. That the Abomatons will be sold exclusively to Emperor Belos in exchange for funding for their company. He also warns them that the Emperor doesn't take kind to his subjects making private armies.

The Abomatons appear again in "Hunting Palismen" serving as guards for Emperor Belos. One of them then appears at the end of "Eda's Requiem" assisting Kikimora in capturing Raine Whispers. Darius also voices his dislike towards the Abomatons and Alador. They later appear in "Eclipse Lake" where they help Emperor Belos build his portal. They also accompany Kikimora and some coven guards to the Knee to find some Titan Blood. Some are shown to even transform into vehicles.

In "Reaching Out", Alador tells one Abomaton to watch Amity, this one equipped with multiple alarm devices that alert Alador if Amity is in danger. Because Amity plans to sneak away to the Bonesborough Brawl, she tells it to go to the Night Market and get her a ruby dagger, confident that it would take it a long time to find this rare item. Unfortunately, the Abomaton is very resourceful and does indeed manage to find one, bringing it to the Brawl earlier than Amity had intended, causing its alarms to go off as Luz tries to stop it.

In "Labyrinth Runners", a Coven Captain used an Abomaton to battle the Hexside students. It was later defeated by Willow and Amity".

In "King's Tide", they are used to stop Luz's friends from stopping the Day of Unity, and to subdue the rebels to prevent from sabotaging the draining spell. When the spell finally activates, they block the exits to prevent anybody from escaping. It is unknown what happened to the remaining Abomatons after The Collector seemingly kills Belos and stops the draining spell. Its possible they were all destroyed during The Collector's reign over the Boiling Isles, or were discontinued and later decommissioned.
