~ Abram implicitly threatening John Wick.

Abram Tarasov is a minor antagonist in the 2017 action film John Wick: Chapter 2, the second installment in the John Wick franchise. He is the brother of Viggo Tarasov and the uncle of Iosef Tarasov who runs a chop shop, as well as the first foe John Wick confronts in the sequel.

He is portrayed by Peter Stormare, who also played Gaear Grimsrud in Fargo, Shayes in Mercury Rising, Werner Zytle in Arrow, Torsten in False Trail, Dino Velvet in 8mm, Dieter Stark in Jurassic Park: The Lost World, Lucifer in Constantine, Ghost in 22 Jump Street, The Nazi Officer in the music video for "Uprising" by Sabaton, Ernst Rohm in Hitler: The Rise of Evil, and Dracula in The Batman vs. Dracula.

Biography[]

Abram at some point came into possession of John Wick's car after it was stolen by his nephew, Iosef Tarasov. After his brother and nephew's demise, he took over the Tarasov crime family.

John later tracked down his facility and went to get his car back. When John arrived, Abram to sent his henchmen to fight the assassin. While this was going on, Abram talked with one of his assistants about John Wick.

Abram later found himself face-to-face with John Wick. John ultimately decides to let Abram live and the mob boss lets John take his car back.

Trivia[]

  • Abram has a tattoo of a hammer and sickle on his neck, possibly hinting at a connection to the old Soviet Union.
  • He is more affably evil than his brother, who at times could be a total jerk to everyone.
