“ | Hah! Grieve him? You know defeated Perfect Chojin are completely worthless, let alone worth any grieving. And to think, someone I spent several millions of years with was, in the end, completely worthless... Still, he was a fine man, more or less. | „ |
~ Abyssman about Mirageman after his death. |
Abyssman is a minor antagonist in the Perfect Origin Arc of the manga series Kinnikuman.
Biography[]
Past[]
In the past, Abyssman was one of the few Chojin protected from the genocide of all Chojin by The Man who would make Abyssman and the other Chojins protected by him immortal and be trained in the art of wrestling. These Chojins who The Man taught would go on to be called the Perfect Origin, the original Perfect Chojin.
During one of his training sessions between himself and Akuma Shogun, Akuma Shogun would land a kick on Abyssman's back, leaving a scar. Abyssman complained about it being a cheap attack but The Man disagreed, stating that Abyssman shouldn't have shown his back as he punched Abyssman in the face, caving in his mouth as he tells Abyssman that he will personally grant Abyssman the title of Perfect the Rule once he trained even more.
However, once the Perfect Origin learned that many Chojin survived the extinction and would repopulate, The Man decided that the surviving Chojin should be left alone, to grow so that the Perfect Origin may see their evolution, however, quickly the strong would dominate the weak, killing anyone they wanted. This resulted in the Perfect Origin going to Earth to genocide any Chojin who was dominating others.
After this point, Abyssman agreed that all of the Perfect Origin should hide themselves away in the Chojin Graveyard and only accept truly strong Chojin to be their students. Abyssman would serve as the gatekeeper to the Chojin Graveyard and would disguise himself as one of the Graveyard Demons.
Kinnikuman (2011)[]
After Akuma Shogun defeated Mirageman and invaded the Chojin Graveyard, Abyssman would charge toward him and challenge him to a fight. Akuma Shogun figured out that the Graveyard Demon was Abyssman in disguise. The two would talk, Akuma Shogun mentioning that Mirageman was dead and Abyssman mocking his fallen ally.
The two enter Abyssman's wrestling ring and began to fight, doing a fist bump as the bell to start their fight. Akuma Shogun tried to grab Abyssman from behind but used his Abyss Guardian to knock him away. Abyssman then tells Akuma Shogun that he spent the millions of years after his first fight with Akuma Shogun training to form a protection for his back after Akuma Shogun gave Abyssman a scar on his back, the only one he would ever receive in his life.
Abyssman would start beating on Akuma Shogun, landing his finisher, however, Akuma Shogun used his Hardness Level 10 in order to survive the attack. Abyssman would hold the advantage until Akuma Shogun started fighting head-on, hitting Abyssman so hard that another scar would appear on his back and breaking his Abyss Guardian.
Akuma Shogun would use the Hell's Nine Point Seal, preventing Abyssman from using any of his limbs before finishing Abyssman with a Hell's Guillotine, killing him.
Mirageman's body would be left there until Justiceman gave the Graveyard Demons permission to bury the bodies.
Powers and Abilities[]
- Perfect Chojin Physiology: As a Chojin blessed by The Man himself, Abyssman has immense strength, speed and durability far above most other Chojin who already have the ability to perform superhuman feats. Additionally, due to being a Perfect Chojin, Abyssman doesn't age at all, staying at his peak physical age after millions of years. Other abilities that Chojin have that Abyssman likely has is the ability to grow to be as large as a building and the ability to fly without wings or thrusters, even in the vacuum of space.
- Abyss Guardian: The Abyss Guardian is a small bumper-like forcefield that shoots out of Abyssman's back. Abyssman specially created it to protect his back after Akuma Shogun kicked Abyssman's back, leaving a scar.
