Acha and Kocha are the butlers of the Machine Empire Baranoia, the ones to enlarge the Machine Beasts and major antagonists in Chouriki Sentai Ohranger.
Acha is voiced by the late Kanemasa Kimotsuki (who also voiced TT Terurin in Gekisou Sentai Carranger a year later), while Kocha is voiced by Shinobu Adachi.
Biography[]
Past[]
As with all members of the Machine Empire Baranoia, Acha and Kocha were built by Emperor Bacchus Wrath and Empress Hysteria some 65 million years ago. They became the extremely loyal butlers of the Machine Empire royal family, and aided in thier many conquests across the universe. With thier army of Barlo Soldiers and Machine Beasts, the Machine Empire Baranoia were able to conquer or destroy multiple planets.
Ohranger[]
Millions of years later, in 1999, Emperor Bacchus Wrath returns to Earth and leads an invasion, but the attacks are defeated by the newly formed Ohrangers. After the Baranoia learn of the Chouriki Mobiles' construction, Acha and Kocha report this to Bacchus Wrath who freaks out, but Hysteria reassures him that she sent Bara Brain to resolve the issue. Later, after Bara Brain recaptures Muira, they accompany Hysteria as well as Buldont to Earth, where the former tries to execute him, only to be stopped by the arriving salvo, from the completed Chouriki Mobiles. Outnumbered and overpowered, the four leaders retreat, and leave Bara Brain to fight the Ohrangers, with Bara Separate. In retaliation for Bara Brain's death, Bacchus Wrath leads a massive invasion of Takonpas, but they are destroyed by Ohranger Robo, and Bacchus Wrath has to flee with Acha and Kocha, when the Super Crrown Sword is thrown into thier Baracticas. Realising that conquering Earth is impossible whilst they have Ohranger Robo, and taking inspiration from Bara Separate, Bacchus Wrath has the Barlo Soldiers upgrade Acha and Kocha with a growth program for his monsters and chooses Bara Missiler as thier test subject.
Shortly after the death of Bara Missiler, Prince Buldont decides to kill the Ohrangers overly theatrically. As such, he sets up a movie called the Machine Empire Century with Acha and Kocha and a legion of Barlo Soldiers before recruiting four Machine Beasts to act as the muscle in his plan. Using Klank in a Cessna to distribute advertising leaflets, and Camera Trick to forcibly teleport the readers, Buldont gains a cast of “actors” with the allure of $10 million Yen ($73,000 USD). Acha meets and introduces himself as a producer; tricking them into thinking it is legitimate and acts as their manager and chauffeur. When the Ohrangers arrive to save the victims, Buldont begins his movie properly by having Acha and Cat Signal shuffle the children onto a bus which he then scripts to crash and kill everyone on board. whilst the Ohrangers are harassed by the other Machine Beasts. Despite this, Faucetchuck quickly runs out of power whilst fighting Yuri and Goro so Buldont is forced to withdraw the Machine Beast to have Acha upgrade his power supply which leads to his producer having a breakdown outside.
After the failure of the elite Machine Beasts and Bara Magma, Bacchus Wrath decides to take a subtler approach and sends Acha and Kocha to build an army of Pinocchio-like machines. Bara Pinokiller and Pet Pinnochio are the first of these to be built as a prototype; the former disguised as a friendly robot manufactured by the front organisation 21st Century Cyber Industries. His mission is sent to make humans more accepting towards the idea of machines so they make accept Baranoia rule until they have complete control over many major government offices. Concerned by the Ohrangers getting closer to uncovering thier plan after they survive attempted assassination by Bara Pinokiller, Acha and Kocha summon Pet Pinocchio outside Yuri's house and equip it with a bomb to use to destroy the UAOH Headquarters and kill the Ohrangers but this is defeated. Angry over his failure, Bara Pinokiller plans to kill Tsutomu, his parents and his supposed creator but the Ohrangers deduce where he could have gone and confront him in the factory with Acha and Kocha. Although Acha uses a bomb to destroy the building on top of them, tthey escape and defeat the Machine Beast; first with the Giant Roller and then Ohranger Robo which forces Acha and Kocha to abandon their Pinocchio Plot.
After the death of Keris, Acha and Kocha open the Achacha School (a combination of their names) and promise children perfect school grades just by dancing. In reality, Bara Tarantula is used to implant transmitters in children to make them smarter but also make them gradually into full supporters of the Baranoia Empire with plans to expand this curriculum until every child in Japan is loyal to Bacchus Wrath. As a human face to the school, Acha hires mad scientist Kotaro Henna as the dance instructor but the lunatic wants to dissect Acha in return. When Shouhei points out how suspicious this is whilst they look after one of the students, Juri goes with Masao to investigate the school in person. When she investigates further into the school, she discovers Acha and Kocha but is injected with a receiver by Bara Tarantula. The Machine Beast then fights Juri whilst Acha and Kocha flee but they later upgrade the creature’s legs after they are crippled by the King Smashers. The next day, Bara Tarantula hides with Acha and Kocha in a storage room within the exercise hall of Masao's school as he takes a test but the Ohrangers have been watching nearby and trace the signal to the Baranoian location. After Goro kicks down Acha, Bara Tarantula ambushes them but is defeated so Acha and Kocha enlarge him only for him to be killed for good.
Having grown tired of human gluttony and indulgence, Hysteria initiates Option Moon Rainbow; having the newly rebuilt Bara Faucet pose as a plumber to install new tapes that disperse normal water or a green liquid, Similar in appearance to the Moon Rainbow diet drink, the liquid both strips human of their bodyweight but also reduces them to more primitive beings which would be easier for Baranoia to conquer. During his ambush on Momo, Acha and Kocha remind the Machine Beast of his mission so he retreats and is shown where to target with his abilities in a pump control room. Later, Acha and Kocha enlarge Bara Faucet after the Ohrangers freeze and defeat him but the Machine Beast is killed.
After Acha and Kocha find the Baranoian Royal Family fast asleep and wakes them back up, the mere idea of it annoys Bacchus Wrath and Buldont blames it on the nearby Bara Gusuka. Bacchus Wrath is so angered by the two and a half minute delay that he orders Acha to scrap Bara Gusuka but Hysteria talks him down and convinces the Emperor to send Bara Gusuka to Earth. If his hypnosis sent them to sleep, it can do the same to humans which makes them weaker and easier to conquer. After Bara Gusuka’s Takonpas crashes, Acha and Kocha bring Barlo Soldiers but the Machine Beast is swiftly destroyed by the King Victory Flash so Bara Gusuka is written off as a failure.
However, the crazed Dr. Henna discovers Bara Gusuka's remains much to Acha and Kocha's delight and rebuilds him using a hyper LSI Chip and an "ultra super microchip" who Acha and Kocha then retrieve. Sending Bara Gusuka out into Tokyo, his sleep abilities cause chaos which Acha and Kocha happily demonstrate to their superiors. Despite his success though, Bacchus Wrath realizes that wind-up power is too unreliable and orders Acha to upgrade the Machine Beast. Setting up in a lorry, Acha upgrades Bara Gusuka with a giant megaphone for a face whilst ripping out the wind-up functions. The Ohrangers follow and open the back of the truck but the upgraded Bara Gusuka emerges; now powered by the machinery inside the truck operated by Acha and Kocha which gives him a great power boost. Exposed to the full power of Bara Gusuka, the Ohrangers are soon asleep and, by turning up the volume, Bara Gusuka's music soon puts much of Tokyo to sleep. Soon though, Dorin and Paku arrive with the lizard eating through the power cable; crippling the Machine Beast and disabling his lullabies. Even with more Barlo Soldiers as back-up, the Ohrangers swiftly dispatch the soldiers but they and Bara Gusuka are soon destroyed even after being enlarged.
After a fierce battle with the Ohrangers, Bacchus Wrath is easily destroyed by OhBlocker's Twin Blocken Crash so the Machine Empire prepare to rebuild him. However, before work can begin, Bomber the Great returns and takes control of the Machine Empire. After returning to the Baranoia Palace from his banishment, Buldont challenges him to a duel but is easily killed and sent away in a rocket with Hysteria. Bomber then declares himself the the 1st, New Emperor of Baranoia with Acha and Kocha switching allegiances to him to save themselves. However, shortly after the death of Bara Gold, Buldont (repaired and upgraded by the dying remains of Bacchus Wrath into Kaiser Buldont) returns with his cousin Multiwa overthrow Bomber so Acha and Kocha switch allegiances back to them. Despite their high treason, Acha and Kocha are spared execution due to thier usefulness and now utter loyalty.
Buldont then marries Multiwa and they initiate a complete invasion of Earth; bombarding the UAOH Hangar with Takonpas to prevent Ohranger Robo and Tackle Boy from being deployed, capturing OhBlocker and Red Puncher and using Bara Micron's Dark Particles to render the Ohrangers powerless. However, Dorin sacrifices her life to generate a massive amount of power that destroys Bara Micron and completely decimates the Machine Empire Baranoia. With thier army completely annihilated and thier offensive capabilities effectively eliminated, Buldont and Multiwa unleash a final desperate attack on Earth; launching an assault with the last few Barlo Soldiers and growing giant to fight the Giant Robos even before Acha and Kocha can enlarge them. However, they are killed by King Pyramidder Battle Formation's Super Legend Beam before the Ohrangers storm the skyscraper that the Baranoia are using as a base of operations where they find Hysteria, Acha and Kocha and Buldont and Multiwa's baby Buldont Jr. Although they decide that Hysteria is too dangerous to be kept alive, she reveals the baby and they can't bring themselves to kill the child who she gives to them before committing suicide.
With Hysteria's death, the Machine Empire Baranoia is no more so Acha and Kocha decide to switch sides to good. They accompany Gunmazin when he takes Buldont Jr to his home planet to raise the baby to be better than the rest of his family. What happened to them after this is unknown. Acha is also remembered by Shouhei from the scheme with Bara Printer after the Ohrangers disband.
Personality[]
Acha was the most loyal servant to his masters but was extremely prideful and demonstrated that he had a backbone. On occasion, he got into arguments with Prince Buldont but would work with him if he he had to without argument. Buldont himself had a very low opinion of Acha and Kocha, always disrespecting them and even attacking Acha in a fit of anger after the death of Bara Saucer. Acha was very loyal to Bacchus Wrath and played a major role in helping him battle the Ohrangers. However, Acha was also a coward since he would serve anyone who claimed the throne since he abandoned Empress Hysteria to imprisonment and loyally served Bomber the Great to save himself. Since the end of the Machine Empire, Acha has changed and is instead dedicated to helping Gunmazin protect Buldont Jr.
In contrast, Kocha was more amiable and far less aggressive than his humanoid counterpart though he always sided with his friend in arguments. However, he didn't typically speak for himself and instead usually parroted whatever Acha said. Like Acha, he switched sides and has since become a much kinder robot. Despite being underlings, Acha and Kocha still possess an ego; having the anthem of the Achacha School full of self-praise.

Powers and Abilities[]
- Strength: Acha was able to knock Shouhei down with one punch, lift him by the neck with one hand and repeatedly throw off the love crazed Bara Printer.
- Durability: Acha withstood jump kicks from Shouhei and Goro, was unfazed by multiple punches from Shouhei, punching himself in the face with a boxing glove, being kicked to the floor by Goro, getting shot by the Chouriki Mobiles' firepower, energy blasts from Red Puncher and a powerful strike from Bara Revenger.
- Deflection: Due to being made from metal, a jump kick from Shouhei bounced off Acha.
- Non-Ageing: Due to being a robot, Acha does not age.
- Incredible Flexibility: Acha can swing his arms and body with incredible flexibility despite being a robot.
- Incredible Aim: Despite often throwing Kocha from often obtuse angle, Acha never missed a Machine Beast.
- Monster Upgrading: Acha is skilled at upgrading Machine Beasts as he upgraded Faucetchuck to have a better batter in the movie.
- Bilingualism: Acha can fluently speak both English and Japanese.
- Scheming: Acha is a skilled planner and schemer, being able to invent several clever plans such as using Bara Tarantula in a plot to brainwash children and the infiltration plans with the Pinnochios.
- Takonpas Summoning: Acha can summon Takonpas to aid him by calling for them and gesturing skywards.
- Quick Reflexes: Acha can spin fast enough to avoid a swing from Bacchus Wrath’s staff and later had to dodge many swings after the destruction of Bara Hacker.
- Story-boarding: In the movie, Acha draws some very professional storyboards to appease a frustrated Buldont.
- Head Independence: Bacchus Wrath knocks off Acha’s head in the 10th episode but he was completely unfazed.
- Super Speed: As seen when Bara Printer fell in love with him, Acha can run away at incredible and inhuman speeds.
- Eye Blasts: Acha can fire a single, very powerful blue energy blast from his left eye which was strong enough to knock down Yuji and Bara Revenger with one hit.
- Cart Driving: In the 17th episode, Acha was shown to be skilled at driving around go-karts.
- Map Reading: As seen in the 31st episode, Acha can read maps of city pipe systems as he expertly deployed Bara Faucet throughout Tokyo.
- Weapons Summoning: Acha can summon weapons at will, as seen when he draws a machine gun to execute the weakened Ohrangers in the 30th episode.
- Atomizing Gas Immunity: Acha was bombarded by Bara Skunk’s atomizing gas when Tackle Boy reflected it at the Machine Beast but was undamaged by the noxious air.

- Fists: Acha had no weapons of his own but is a skilled inventor and tactician with his bare hands. During the 11th episode, he also managed to defeat Shouhei with them.
