“ | You made one mistake back on that island, Bond. You took something that didn't belong to you. And you took it from a friend of Mr. Big's. That kind of mistake is tough to bounce back from. | „ |
~ Adam threatening Bond |
Adam is a supporting antagonist in the James Bond film Live And Let Die. He is an enforcer for Dr. Kananga.
He was portrayed by the late Tommy Lane.
History[]
Adam first appears when Bond and Solitaire are captured at an airport, appearing alongside several other henchmen. He is later seen again at Kananga's crocodile farm, where Tee Hee orders him to chase down Bond along with several other enforcers as he escapes.
While chasing Bond, Adam is pulled over for speeding by sheriff J. W. Pepper, however Bond does a speedboat jump over J. W.'s cruiser, causing another henchman in a speedboat to try and follow him, causing the speedboat to land on the cruiser and allowing Adam to escape.
Adam then goes looking for a boat, and runs into J. W.'s brother-in-law Billy Bob, who he knocks out after Billy Bob calls him a "boy" (a racial slur) before stealing his boat and going out after Bond again. He finds Bond, and resumes chasing him before eventually being defeated when Bond throws petrol in his eyes, causing him to crash into an abandoned tanker, causing an explosion that kills Adam.
