Adam Bahri is the titular antagonist of The Guy Upstairs. He is a charismatic serial killer and the upstairs neighbor of Rozy.
Appearance[]
Adam is described as a handsome young man by many women. He has messy black hair and dark eyes.
Personality[]
Adam is a seemingly kind and romantic individual who can make any woman fall for him in an instant. Despite his kindness outside, such a thing was facade hiding the incredibly sadistic serial killer he is, one who loves killing women and is not above killing a pregnant woman. He is also very intelligent, seeing as he is able to hide his murders with ease and can manipulate others into siding with him.
Biography[]
Rozy first hears him dragging what sounds like a body in his apartment as she recalls him talking to a woman beforehand. Later, she accidentally wanders into Adam's room only to be nearly caught, leaving her to hide in his closet. She witnesses as he lures in a pregnant woman and murders her in cold blood. Unfortunately, Rozy fails to escape properly and injures herself jumping out Adam's window. Adam sees her body on the ground and disposes of any evidence of his murder.
The next day, Rozy tells the police of her ordeal, and leads them to where she saw the crime took place, in Adam's room. However, the room was shown to have been completely cleaned, with all evidence disposed of, including the pregnant woman's body. He continues to act in his kind facade toward the policemen, and toward Rozy's friend Hawa, with whom he walks out of the building, managing to charm her. This causes Rozy to question herself, and she apologizes to Adam the next time she sees him when going back to her apartment. However, Adam was still suspicious of Rozy when he saw her looking at a picture of the woman he killed on the news. He meets Hawa again as a taxi driver, which is revealed to be his regular job. When he asks for her number, though, Hawa decides against giving her number to him as per Rozy's advice to not give her personal information to strangers. He then offers to walk her inside, which she declines, and he and Hawa depart.
He is then revealed to use his job as a taxi driver as a cover to be able to meet many people, mainly women, and easily amass victims this way.

- As shown by the video, he can be compared to Joe Goldberg from the Netflix 2019 TV series You, as both were serial killers who use their charisma, charm, and unassuming nature to insert themselves into the lives of women and eventually kill them. However, there are differences between the two pertaining to their boundaries and their backstories which are revealed as their stories go on.
- He can also be compared to Dongsoo Seon from the manhwa Bastard, as both use their unassuming and respectable outward appearances to kill multiple people. They also look somewhat similar.
