| ~ Adam to David, while inside of Skully's Abandoned House. |
Adam Collins is a character from the 2019 Comic series based on the series of the same name, Marble Hornets. He along with his cameraman, David started working on a documentary on the Rosswood Forest. During their attempt of the documentary, He runs into The Operator and falls to its "parasite." effect and starts to feed the ARK, starting with David.
Appearance[]
Adam is a young adult, wearing a blue bomber jacket with a white undershirt. He has tan pants and white shoes. He is pale skinned with blue eyes. He's also seen with a bag on his right arm that goes across his body.
Biography[]
In a college lecture on documentary production, Adam met a man named David listening to the podcast, EYES OPEN which he was also listening to. Adam and David talked about the mystery of Rosswood before meeting up in Adam's dorm (the two sharing a dorm hall; Lathy Hall) and watching Marble Hornets as David was unfamiliar with it. Adam, at the age of 28, would work with his co-director, David headed to the Rosswood Forest/Park to create a documentary about the paranormal events at the forest after Adam was seemingly inspired by a podcast on the same topic, Eyes Open and Marble Hornets which he believed at this point was purely a fictional series. Adam and David rent a hotel room and even though David is cautious about the hazards of the project, Adam is persistent on creating it, shrugging away any concerns shown by David due to him being overwhelmed by the 1-week deadline they have to create the documentary and so decides to head out during the night for B-Roll footage of the forest.
While at the forest, David notices something interfering with his handheld camera which excites Adam due to him believing it was something naturally messing with the camera that inspired the effect used in Marble Hornets and so insists to David for them to continue though their filming is cut short when David's battery suddenly goes dead, leaving them without a working camera. Adam and David return to their hotel to charge their camera to record more footage the next day though Adam, without alerting the then asleep David, takes the camera and drives out on his own back to the forest. Adam seemingly falls asleep, being taken from his car and awakening in the ARK's large body of water. He manages to swim to a beachy shore, surrounded by fog and dead trees and he is confronted by The Operator. He is teleported back to the forest with the camera once again being dead and needing to be charged at the hotel room. Adam charges the camera while believing he hallucinated his ARK experience as he explains to David. He returns to the forest, pressuring David into returning with him.
Adam, murdering David before attempting to harm Skully.
Adam and David briefly argue over the project as the two wonder the forest for over 12 hours, eventually arriving at an abandoned house where Skully, a person seen in Marble Hornets, stands. Adam, assuming a follow-up to Marble Hornets is being created, enters the house to get an interview for the documentary though are unable to find Skully within it. The two are even more convinced in Adam's assumption when Jessica, a person also from Marble Hornets, arrives at the house. Adam introduces himself and David, though discredits David as merely his assistant to the negative reaction of Jessica. Adam is questioned by Taylor, a friend and doctor of Jessica's after Adam gives Jessica a panic attack by mentioning the Operator. After Taylor tells Adam to leave and David attempts to remove both himself and Adam from the property, Adam strikes David, being fed up from him "constantly interfering" with the project. Adam and David get into a fight just as Skully returns to find Jessica seemingly in a comatose state and Adam fighting. Adam charges at Skully after previously not being able to locate him though is stopped in his tracks but the Operator appearing behind Skully. The Operator teleports Adam and David to the ARK where they both continue to fight and insult each other before Skully appears in the ARK and tries to break up the fight. David attempts to listen to Skully though is attacked and pushed into the ARK by Adam, killing him. Adam chases after Skully to presumably feed him to the ARK, announcing that he can do whatever he wants with a smirk on his face.
Adam almost causes Skully though run into the ARK's opening (despite them both running away from it previously) though Skully is able to stop in time, moving out of Adam's way as Adam jumps at them, while saving Adam from falling into the ARK himself. Adam's wrongfully accuses Skully of being the reason he's in the ARK though is calmly corrected by Skully, explaining how its the Operator's fault he's stuck here and the only way out is to break the grasp it has on his mind. He calms down enough to consider his actions but at the thought that David is "gone" because of him, he refuses to accept "reality" and believes that everything is just a dream, smacking Skully's attempt to take his hand away from him. Right after this, Jessica, Taylor, Sydney return to their level of the ARK to Adam's anger, blaming Jessica instead for everyone being in this situation even to Jessica's own attempt to explain that they're all "broken" to the Operator's reach. Adam attempts to murder Jessica, believing it to be the solution to everything with him even being able to stab Jessica in the chest. Adam is tackled by Sydney who attempts to disarm him, leading to them being stabbed and Adam accidentally falling into the ARK where he is met with "David" who tells him they both are fine in the ARK and that it is waiting for them both.
