Adam Wan, also known as the Autisticus Fletchlum, is one of the many Great Old Ones and Cthulhu Mythos deities, acting as one of the most mysterious of Lovecraftian gods.

History[]

The story of Adam Wan begins in the depths of an ancient and forgotten civilization. In a distant time, when humanity was still in its infancy, a cult of devoted individuals sought to transcend the limitations of mortal existence. This enigmatic order delved deep into forbidden knowledge, uncovering secrets that sent shivers down the spines of even the most seasoned occultists.

Within their rituals and texts, they discovered references to a mysterious being—a forgotten deity known as Adam Wan. Said to exist outside the boundaries of reality, Adam Wan was believed to possess an incomprehensible power and an insatiable hunger for forbidden knowledge. It was whispered that he possessed a formless and ever-changing visage, capable of driving even the most resolute minds to madness.

The cult devoted themselves to the worship of Adam Wan, constructing elaborate temples and performing esoteric rites to summon his dark presence. Legends spoke of rituals involving blood sacrifices, cryptic chants, and the transference of forbidden texts, all aimed at appeasing the unfathomable entity.

As the cult delved deeper into their dark practices, they unwittingly drew the attention of otherworldly forces. Ancient cosmic beings, elder gods, and demonic entities, all took notice of the growing power of the cult and their attempts to harness the forbidden knowledge of Adam Wan.

Their rituals soon attracted the attention of Nyarlathotep, the Crawling Chaos and a central figure in Lovecraftian lore. Seeing the potential in Adam Wan's enigmatic power, Nyarlathotep began manipulating events from the shadows, sowing seeds of chaos and madness within the cult.

Eventually, the cult's pursuit of forbidden knowledge led to their downfall. The thin veil between dimensions was torn asunder, and Adam Wan's dark presence spilled into the world. Reality twisted and contorted, as the once hidden deity emerged, casting a maddening shadow over all that existed.

Adam Wan's arrival was cataclysmic, sending shockwaves through the cosmos and causing ripples in the fabric of reality itself. The deity's true form remained hidden, its essence incomprehensible to human perception. Those unfortunate enough to glimpse even a fragment of its being were driven to madness, their minds shattered by the cosmic horror they had witnessed.

Today, Adam Wan's name is whispered among those who dare to tread the forbidden paths of occult knowledge. It is said that fragments of the cult's ancient texts and rituals still exist, scattered across the globe, awaiting discovery by curious and foolhardy seekers of forbidden lore. But those who choose to invoke the name of Adam Wan do so at their own peril, for the enigmatic deity's power and madness remain as potent and insatiable as ever, lurking in the shadows of a world teetering on the brink of cosmic horror.

Adam Wan's servants and followers, consumed by an insidious devotion, range from deranged cultists driven to madness by his dark allure to sinister entities bound by unholy pacts, all perpetuating his cosmic influence.
