Adan, Thief of Fire is a minor antagonist in the 2022 Dark Fantasy RPG-Action video game Elden Ring. He is a thief who is notorious for stealing a legendary fire incantation, which resulted in his imprisonment in an evergaol.
Biography[]
Adan is a thief of unknown origin, who impersonates himself as a Fire Prelate, a commander of the order of Fire Monks, who were tasked in safe-guarding the flame of the Fire giants and their deity, the Fell God. For mysterious reasons, Adan managed to steal a legendary fire incantation called the Flame of the Fell God from Arghanthy, the chief-guardian of the incantation, who had kept it a well-hidden secret from others, though Adan had somehow managed to learn of its existence.
Though he had managed to steal the fire incantation for himself, however, this ultimately resulted in him being pursued by the Fire Monks to Liurnia of the Lakes before being eventually captured and imprisoned, in an evergaol in the south-western part of Liurnia of the Lakes. He was eventually encountered by a Tarnished of no renown, and immediately engaged him in a fight, but despite his skills at using a flail and being in the possession of the Flame of the Fell God, Adan was ultimately defeated and was killed at the Tarnished's hands, allowing them to take the fire incantation for themselves.
