Admiral Haruki Kusakabe is the main antagonist of the anime/manga series Martian Successor Nadesico, Nadesico: The Blank of Three Years and its movie sequel Prince of Darkness. He is the supreme commander of the Jovian Federation and the archenemy of Akito Tenkawa, Yurika Misumaru, Ruri Hoshino and the whole Nadesico crew. Kusakabe's goal is to seize control of Mars's forgotten technology and destroy all Earthlings.
He was voiced by Kunihiko Yasui in the Japanese version, and by Andy McAvin in the English dub.
Personality[]
Haruki Kusakabe is an extremely xenophobic, manipulative, and self-righteous man with very high racism and hatred towards Earthlings. He is very delusional, unscrupulous, vindictive, and vengeful about Earthlings, as he considers them "evil" in his own point of view. Kusakabe is also very egotistical, narcissistic, and overconfident, as he cares about no one but himself (not even his own lieutenants). Kusakabe is also a very treacherous and skilled master manipulator as he framed Tsukumo Shiratori for high treason and having his former best friend Genichiro "mercy kill" him, all in order to prolong the war between Earth and Jupiter, and continue his greedy plans for galactic conquest and control over the Universe.
