Adra is the main antagonist of the 2024 film Succubus. She is a demon that tries to kill the protagonist multiple times.
She was portrayed by Rachel Cook.
Biography[]
Prior to the events of the film, she accused Dr. Orion Zephyr of sexual harassment which led to him losing his job and family and his life being in total ruins.
In the present Adra is introduced on a dating app matching with Chris, a down and out businessman who is struggling with his business and his family life with his wife Sharon with whom he shares an infant boy. She asks Chris for a video chat, wherein she starts making sexual gestures and asking him to come visit her. When Chris explains that he has a kid and as such can't visit her due to his familial obligations she seemingly gives up. Later on she stalks Chris's social media, likes all his posts, and sends him a provocative video. Later that day she brainwashes Chris into having sex with her and traps him in a mindscape so he is forced to witness everything that occurs while also being powerless to stop it. In a rather cruel act, she lures Chris's friend Ben to her house and brainwashes him into having sex with her before graphically murdering him by removing the skin from his genitalia and body, leaving him to slowly bleed out and die.
Near the end of the movie she tries to possess Sharon into killing Zephyr which presumably succeeded (his fate is unknown). When it seems like everything is going well between Sharon and Chris, Adra hacks a girls dating app account and sends a provocative video to Chris which gets him aroused and in turn allows her to possess him while trapping him in the mindscape.
